'RAW' opens with tribute to Chyna

One of the most influential women in WWE history got acknowledged prior to Monday's episode of "RAW."

Before Monday's episode of RAW opened, Joanie Laurer, AKA Chyna, received an "in memoriam" title card. It was also tweeted out by the main WWE Twitter account.

Chyna is unlikely to receive a full video package tribute during RAW (or on Sunday's Payback pay-per-view). The title card tribute has been used for several wrestlers before, but the lack of a full, on-air verbal or visual tribute will likely be the subject of much fan debate, considering how the company has treated Chyna in recent years.

While Triple H, Stephanie McMahon and others have been vocal in their support of Chyna's legacy since her death last week, their words have rung hollow with many fans. This is due mostly to decisions to have WWE not publicly acknowledge her past contributions to the company (including more or less disqualifying her from consideration for the WWE Hall of Fame during her lifetime due to her appearing in adult films).
