Roman Reigns vs. AJ Styles, Miz vs. Cesaro officially announced for WWE Payback 2016

WWE used last night's (April 11, 2016) episode of Monday Night Raw to set up the top two matches on the card at its upcoming Payback pay-per-view (PPV) scheduled for Sun., May 1, 2016, at the Rosemont Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.

That starts with Roman Reigns defending the WWE world heavyweight championship against AJ Styles in the main event. Styles earned this spot by winning a Fatal 4-Way match a week ago but they held off on officially announcing it until just today, presumably so they could do the Styles vs. Sami Zayn match on Raw last night were Zayn could earn entry into the match with a win.

He lost, and here we are.

Also set for the PPV is The Miz vs. Cesaro for the Intercontinental championship, a match that came to be thanks to Cesaro defeating Kevin Owens in a number one contender match. That was in lieu of Owens getting his rematch thanks to new boss Shane McMahon slapping him down. Meanwhile, Zack Ryder is apparently out of the title picture once again.

So far, these are the only two matches set for the card.
