Once Bobby Roode was shown on the WWE Network hanging out ringside at the NXT Takeover: Dallas event this past April 1, 2016, during WrestleMania weekend, the rumor mill started churning out tidbits saying the former TNA star was going to sign with WWE. Some rumors even outright stated he already signed.
His initial comment was to simply advise fans to stay tuned. Now, in an interview with The Peterborough Examiner, Roode has gone a little further into it:
"I'm not officially signed yet. The Internet has blown up over it, and I mean I'm close, but I don't want to spoil anything or ruin anything. I want to wait until it's official. I don't want to jinx anything either."
PW Insider reported there's almost no way the deal doesn't go through, so we should expect to see Roode working for WWE sooner rather than later. He'll likely join an NXT roster that already includes former TNA stars like Samoa Joe and Austin Aries.
