The next pay-per-view (PPV) on the WWE schedule is the Payback show set to take place on Sun., May 1, 2016, at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois. This is the first year the event will follow WrestleMania, as it switched spots with Extreme Rules.
We're three weeks out from showtime and not a single match is official for the card, though there are rumors. Keep in mind this is all subject to change, but it's what's out there at the moment.
- Roman Reigns vs. AJ Styles (WWE world heavyweight championship)
Believe it or not, Reigns appears to have managed to avoid the dreaded Kane feud immediately after a big title win. WWE booked a Fatal 4-Way for top contender status pitting Kevin Owens vs. Chris Jericho vs. Cesaro vs. Styles and "The Phenomenal One" emerged victorious.
- Charlotte vs. Natalya (WWE women's championship)
During the ceremony to officially award Charlotte the new women's championship title, Natalya was the only one to speak out against her instead of storming off in a huff. It's the Flair family vs. the Hart family, one more time!
- Dean Ambrose vs. Chris Jericho
With Styles moving away from the Jericho feud, that means Chris is going to need somewhere to go from here. They teased this on SmackDown and it makes sense to go back to it after they set it up at Night of Champions last year but never followed through on it.
- Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn
Zayn was originally in the Fatal 4-Way number one contender match before Owens powerbombed him through a table and took him out. These two are destined to do this forever.
- Enzo & Big Cass vs. The Dudley Boyz
One of the post-WrestleMania call ups this year was for The Realest Guys in the Room and they did it at the expense of a cup-ah hate-ah's in the Dudleys.
- Emma vs. Becky Lynch
They set this up on SmackDown this past Thursday when Emma interrupted a Lynch interview to make clear she wanted to come for Becky's spot.
That's what it looks like now, though, again, all that could change. Like it?
