"Success festers in all of us. It makes you want to be better than anyone else. It also creates chaos amongst the masses. The competition becomes the norm. Sometimes you have to go to a place in your mind which you may not fully understand. To be better, at times you have to be different. To be the best is an obsession, and that is where I choose to dwell, in an obsession that ignites an attitude that drives me to achieve a goal. My goal, my obsession, is to be better than everyone else. And I'm not scared to embrace my obsession."
So, essentially, he's willing to give himself up and lose a part of himself to whatever he becomes because becoming that allows him to be the best.
