News has been breaking fast and furious over the past couple of days on qualifying matches for the WWE Global Cruiserweight Series. Revolution Pro, Progress Wrestling, and EVOLVE have all announced matches in their respective promotions.
Now, PW Insider is reporting on some additional details on WWE plans for the series.
The tournament will tape for five days from June 20-24 at Full Sail Live in Winter Park, Florida. Spoilers, then, will be available but the series will air starting in July and feature 10 episodes, though the hope is that it will become an annual showcase. Not surprisingly, the report notes we can expect heavy promotion via social media if, for no other reason, than to help familiarize WWE fans with some of the wrestlers they may not be aware of from across the globe.
This all sounding good to you, Cagesiders?
