For two weekends in a row now, WWE has advertised Alberto Del Rio for its house show run and the League of Nations member has failed to appear, including the big event at Madison Square Garden last night (Mar. 25, 2016) in New York City. He has not missed scheduled television appearances, however, leading to some confusion.
Now, PW Insider is reporting there is an issue related to an injury that is keeping him from working.
News hit back in late January that Del Rio was dealing with a lower back injury, although the report doesn't indicate the two are necessarily related. The good news is he is a member of a four-man group so he can be protected in tag team matches as needed.
The League of Nations are set to take on The New Day in a 4-on-3 handicap match at WrestleMania 32 on April 3 in Arlington, Texas that apparently won't be for the tag team titles.
We'll update if any new information becomes available.
