Snoop Dogg may be going into the WWE Hall of Fame this year

This year's WWE Hall of Fame class is as bizarre as it is great. Led by the franchise of WCW, Sting, inductees include the Fabulous Freebirds, The Godfather, Big Boss Man, and Jacqueline. Stan Hansen will also be added but that doesn't account for the celebrity addition.

According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscription required but recommended), that may be legendary recording artist and notorious pothead Snoop Dogg.

It's not set in stone but the report states WWE was looking at putting together a deal to get Snoop in this year instead of Regis Philbin, who had originally been rumored as the celebrity inductee in this year's class. Snoop has made multiple guest appearances on Monday Night Raw -- including a wacky segment with Hulk Hogan that WWE surely won't talk about if he goes in -- as well as guest spots at WrestleMania 24 and 27.

Really, he should get in just on his spear alone:

If he goes in, it would undoubtedly bring up more questions about Chyna not getting in but you could say the same about so many other members of the Hall of Fame, it's worth wondering just how worthwhile it is to even ask the question. It is a gimmick Hall of Fame, after all, one that exists only to make money.

And, again, it's not set in stone. Who else would fit as a celebrity this year, though?
