It seemed curious that WWE decided to change the booking of Roadblock at the last minute and have Luke Harper work the match against Brock Lesnar as opposed to the originally promoted Wyatt vs. Lesnar singles match (itself a change from the very first booking, which was Harper vs. Lesnar).
Now we know why, at least if this report is accurate.
According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscription required but recommended), Wyatt is suffering from a "pretty significant" back injury and there is "no word on how long he'll be out of action." That would also explain why The Wyatt Family weren't used on any WWE television programs this week.
The good news, if you can call it that, is the Family didn't have much of a direction at the moment when the decision was made to book Lesnar in a match against Dean Ambrose at WrestleMania 32. Even if Bray can't be back to active wrestling by the big show on April 3 in Texas, Harper, Erick Rowan, and Braun Strowman are all still available for the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, which was officially announced just this past week but as of yet has no participants.
Having said all that, can these injuries stop now? Please?
