Wednesday's episode of NXT opened with Sami Zayn in the ring, putting over last week's 2-out-of-3-falls No. 1 contender match between himself and Samoa Joe. He said he wishes things would have been different, but his biggest regret is that he won't be wrestling at NXT TakeOver: Dallas in a couple of weeks. That brought out NXT General Manager William Regal comes out and said he has, in fact, found an opponent for Zayn at TakeOver: the one and only Shinsuke Nakamura.

This will, of course, mark the debut of New Japan star Nakamura in NXT and WWE. This also likely means that Zayn will be pulling double-duty on WrestleMania weekend, as he is currently involved in a main-roster storyline with Kevin Owens. Latest speculation puts Zayn in a multi-man match at WrestleMania 32 for Owens' Intercontinental Championship.
