Kevin Owens and AJ Styles reportedly tore the house down in an Iron Man match in Atlantic City over the weekend (complete with the usual brilliant heel antics from the former), but they haven't officially worked together on WWE television since the two have worked in the same company.
Not counting the Royal Rumble.
Now, WWE has announced a match between the two for this week's episode of SmackDown in Cincinnati. The timing is interesting, considering there have been multiple reports and rumors suggesting Owens is headed for an Intercontinental championship defense at WrestleMania 32 in a multi-man match of some sort.
We know Sami Zayn fits in somewhere, but the addition of Styles here would also invite the potential for Chris Jericho to get involved. Jericho, of course, has been feuding with AJ and it was previously thought the two were headed for a singles match at the "Showcase of the Immortals."
Perhaps they're all getting in on the Intercontinental party?
