WWE RAW RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR MAR. 14
What's up, everyone? Kyle here. You ready to strap in for 3+ hours of Raw with us? Great! Let's do this.
Then. Now. Forever.
The show immediately opens with the New Day... and the title match. This Raw is opening with a match and just a straight promo segment.
Well, there's some promo since New Day is going to say something. Xavier references their Twitter flaming of the League of Nations on Twitter and Kofi puts of the Booty O's serial. Big E mentions has a work out DVD series called Big E Butts. Woods says that New Day will stay champions.
New Day (c) vs. League of Nations for the Tag Team Championships
Rusev and Alberto Del Rio are the men in the match but all four men are present. Surprisingly, it is Xavier and Big E fighting tonight with Kofi watching from the outside.
The match starts off at a high level hoss with Big E and Rusev. Big E gets control and puts in his abdominal stretch and spanks Rusev to the New Day Rocks cadence. Rusev then gets unicorn stampeded but no trombone this time. The New Day have early control of the Bulgarian.
Rusev tags ADR as they get control on Big E. E is soon able to tag Woods who comes out hot against ADR. However Barrett distracts Woods and Del Rio hits him with the enziguri and gains control as Raw goes to commercial.
Raw returns with the League having clear control of Woods. Xavier is finally able to hit ADR with a knee and make the tag to Big E. Big E runs in and hits Rusev with multiple belly to belly suplexes and then his big splash. Rusev is able to escape the Big Ending and connect on a spinning heel kick for a near fall on E. E is able to take control and tag in Woods, who hits a DDT on Rusev. He goes for the pin abut ADR breaks it as the match starts to break down.
As the chaos clears, Rusev hits Woods with a super kick and gets a VERY close near fall. The big man goes for the Accolade and Kofi jumps on the apron to distract him. Sheamus and Barrett try to neutralize Kingston but fail. Rusev reaches outside at Kofi and Woods takes the opportunity to roll him up and grab a handful of tights for the pin.
The New Day defeat the League of Nations to retain the titles.
After the match, the League lays a long, massive post beat down on the New Day to an early chorus of boos. All the members of the League get to hit their finishers on various members of the New Day. The crowd quiets down soon as this beat down seems to be really endless.

Dean Ambrose comes up but before he speaks they replay Dean Ambrose's foot under the rope multiple times with different graphics to illustrate it.
Ambrose talks about how close he was to beating to Triple H for the WWE title. He said that he's sure that Triple H isn't feeling good today after Saturday. Triple H learned what happened when you don't respect Dean Ambrose. As he's about to turn his focus to WrestleMania...
Brock Lesnar's music hits!
Lesnar and Paul Heyman come out and stand at the entryway. Heyman says he's the voice of reason that's keeping Ambrose from getting a beating from the Beast. Dean dares Heyman to let "his beast of his leash." While Paul would love to see Brock destroy Ambrose tonight, he's got to save this for WrestleMania. He says any match with Lesnar is a main event. Because of this, he implores Ambrose to stop provoking Lesnar because of Dean does, he won't make it to Mania. And if that happens, Lesnar won't have anyone to fight because no one is crazy enough to fight Brock in a street fight asides from Ambrose.
That doesn't stop Ambrose, who continues to provoke the Beast to come to fight. Brock doesn't take the bait and Heyman promotes WrestleMania on the WWE Network (free to new subscribers!) and again calls Dean/Brock the main event. After his shill, he starts to leave but Brock decides to walk down to the ring.
Ambrose opens his jacket and reveals a crowbar! Heyman is imploring Brock not to take the bait but Brock starts to circle the ring. Lesnar runs to the ring but as Dean runs at him with his weapon, Brock jumps down thinking better of it.

Ryback vs. Sin Cara (w/Kalisto)
Ryback has full control in the beginning. And in the middle. Towards the end, Sin Cara got a couple of moves in but Ryback catches him and hits two Shell Shocks.
This was pretty much a squash match. The crowd couldn't have cared less if they tried.
Ryback defeats Sin Cara via pinfall
After the match, the BIG GUY gets on the microphone and says that that's what it looks like when a big guy beats a little guy because size matters. Then he asks for a US Title match at WrestleMania.

Stephanie McMahon walks down and gives Triple H and grandiose introduction. Trips is Authority Suit Triple H tonight.
He talks about how the crowd was really hoped that Dean Ambrose could over come, but the Authority always wins. Hope is not a strategy but a dangerous commodity. But the crowd lives off hope and that's why they are like Dean and Roman. He talks about how we all hope things will get better in the life but it never does and we don't do anything to actually make our lives better. And now our wife and kids hate us so we hang out with our loser friends and complain about the authority above us.
As his story about our hope continues, our wife has left us and our kids don't come around because continues and we're just sitting in a old age home waiting for death. Wow, that's some depressing stuff, Trips.
We like Ambrose and Roman because they give us hope. (Mentioning Roman got a brief round of boos.) Trips guarantees that much like our lives, Roman will fail. Because the Authority always wins.
Dolph Ziggler then interrupts.
Steph sees Dolph gets in the ring and says "Speaking of failures." Dolph is tired of being told that people need to know their place. Well he does know his place and his place is in the ring busting his ass for the fans. Steph tells Dolph he doesn't know his role because it's not in the ring right now but in the back. She says he's good but not that good. Dolph wonders how many times they can threatened to fire him. But after that threat happens so much, he realizes he has nothing left to lose. And he will not quit no matter what.
Zigs says that he and Ambrose aren't failures but victims of the systems. He dares them to fire him and Steph almost takes the bait but Trips stops her because it's not good business since the fans like him... but that's because he's a lovable loser like them. However he tells Dolph he doesn't have to be a loser if he had the right people backing him up.
Ziggler says he'll never sign with Trip of his "egotistical, maniacal, idiotic wife." That earns him a slap in the face from the Steph. She says the if he wants a match at Mania, any match asides from for the WWE title, he just needs to win one match tonight. And that match is one on one with Triple H.

Sami Zayn vs. the Miz
Kevin Owens is at the announce table.
Early on in the match, outside the ring, Sami Zayn run and jumps on the barricade and immediately hits a moonsault on the Miz which was super sweet. That takes Raw into commercial.
Raw returns with Sami mounting a comeback on the Miz. However a DDT from the Miz gives im some control. Sami almost gets a pin by reversing the Skull Crushing Finale into a roll up but Miz is able to kick out and get some offense. It doesn't last long as Zayn hits a series of clotheslines and a cross body block. Zayn clotheslines Miz outside and then hits a running dive over the top rope.
When they are outside, KO tries to get into Sami's face but the Miz hits Kevin from behind and both Miz and Sami get some punches in on Owens. Back in the ring, Miz is in the corner briefly distracted by KO and Sami takes that time to his the Helluva Kick on Miz for the 1-2-3.

She goes to the pin but Namoi is able to break it up. Fox runs in to neutralize Naomi.
When it is just Tamina and Brie again, Lana walks up the ring steps to get Brie's attention. This allows Naomi to run in and both members of Team BAD hit a double slam for the win.

Dean is hanging out backstage with his crowbar when the camera zooms out... and Mick Foley is there!!
Foley reminds Dean that this match with Brock is a bad idea. Mick asks Dean why. Dean retorts with a question of his own: Was Mick afraid when he was tossed off the Hell in a Cell. Mick admits he was terrified. When asked why he kept going, Foley said it's because he's Mick Foley and it's what he does. Dean Ambrose says this is who he is and what he does.
Ambrose takes Deans crowbar and tosses it and gives him a gift as a 'passing of the torch." Dean opens it and it's a barbed wire baseball bat! Oh this Mania street fight is going to be wild.

Triple H vs. Dolph Ziggler
Triple H and Dolph are even to start, trading side headlocks. Ziggler takes control after this and maintains it for awhile. A stiff knee to Dolphs guts looks like it could turn the tide for Ziggler but Ziggler gets control right back with a couple near falls and then a drop kick.
Trips hits Dolph with a high elbow and finally takes control by tossing him around outside as Raw goes to commercial.
Raw returns with Triple H working over Dolph. Dolph fights back to no avail. The Game starts targeting the left arm of Ziggler. Dolph gets a quick flurry off offense but Trips hits the high knee and gets a near fall. Triple H continues his control of Ziggler. The Show Off is tossed outside and the King of Kings continues to work over Dolph's shoulder outside. Ziggler is suplexes inside and sits on the top rope reveling in his dominance.
It was too much time though because he goes for an elbow from the second rope but is met with Dolph's boot in his face. Dolph finds his second wind and starts taking it to Triple H... splash in the corner and swinging neck breaking. He hits an elbow to Trip's chest for a near fall. Ziggler not deterred as he keps taking it to Triple H.
The Game blocks a Super Kick and goes for the Pedigree. Ziggler reverses into a pinfall and gets the closest of near falls. He hits a Fame Asser and gets as close as he can to 3 before Triple H kicks out. Ziggler keeps on it with a DDT for the 1-2-... another kick out from the Game!
Both men are down in the middle of the ring. Ziggler runs at the Game but is met with a huge Spine Buster. Triple H does not have any energy to make a cover though. Trips goes for another Pedigree but Ziggler gets out of it and hits a huge super kick and falls on Triple H... 1. 2. Kick out!
Dolph chases Triple H outside the ring and as he is getting back in, Triple H checks him into barricade. Dolph is almost counted out but slides in at 9. Triple H goes for the Pedigree but Ziggler is able to stand up to deliver a back body drop. Dolph goes for the Zig Zag but the champ holds the ropes knocking Ziggler back. Triple H hits the Pedigree for the 1-2-3.
Triple H defeats Dolph Ziggler via pinfall
Roman Reigns music hits (to mainly boos) and he comes in through the entrance. He stands in the entryway and stares the Game down like a badass. The Big Dog makes the slow walk to the ring, he runs into the ring, and both men start brawling.
Roman starts to beat up Triple H on the outside to a crowd that is split at best. Scratch that, it's more boos. Roman's beat down of Triple H makes his way into the crowd and the into the backstage area. Through out this, Reigns has knocked down multiple referees and Triple H is busted open.
Reigns is out of control and the Usos, Jack Swagger, and Mark Henry need to calm him down.

Jericho is in the ring and he is in full heel mode. He still can't believe that the fans chose AJ Styles over him. Jericho says that AJ isn't as good as we think he is. He's a hack. Last week, Chris did what he had to do to put AJ in his place. Jericho goes on to say AJ isn't phenomenal but he is instead.
Neville vs. Jericho
Y2J starts the match by shoving Neville and Neville responds with a flurry of kicks putting Jericho on his heels. Y2J rolls outside and pushes the ring steps and then tells the camera man to get out of his face out of frustration.
Raw returns and Neville still has control of Y2J. Jericho is able to go for a pinfall and only gets two. Jericho is angry and shoves referee Charles Robinson and gets DQ'd.
Neville defeats Jericho via disqualification.
Jericho grabs an microphone and is as angry as can be. Jericho blames the fans for this because they treated him like a piece of trash. He tells the fans to chants for AJ Styles and they oblige him.
Styles music hits and AJ walks to the ring slowly and then books it to the ring... Phenomenal Forearm (Styles Smash) to Jericho!

Vince McMahon comes to the ring and says that Shane winning would be a nightmare, but the person who will be standing in the ring after WrestleMania will be him. His son will be crushed and a shell of himself after this loss. And to do that, he doesn't have to lay a hand on Shane. Instead, it'll be his instrument of destruction... the Undertaker.
The gong hits and the fire burns as Undertaker slowly makes he way out. Slowly.
Taker gets into the ring as the crowd chants his name. Vince tells him never to put his hands on him like he did last week. Vince says he'll write that off as a lapse of judgement on Taker's part and he apologizes for bringing it up again. Vince says he knows the Dead Man and that he has no problem doing some dirty work. The Chairman says some call this an unholy alliance but he calls it Best for Business.
"Here Comes the Money!"
Shane dances out and makes his way to the ring. He says that Vince is definitely not best for business. Shane tells Taker he's got it figured out how he's going to beat him. He's going to exhaust Undertaker. He's going to turn his own body into a weapon. And he's going to use his heart because he's fighting for his children, our children, and the legacy of the WWE.
Taker tells Shane is it's still not going to be enough. Because what he has are these (his fists.) And those fists are his legacy. Shane tells him he's surprised that Undertaker is willing to be Vince's puppet but Taker says no one controls him. Shane says he has the misfortune of being Vince's son but Taker is "Vince's bitch."
Taker grabs Shane for a chokeslam but Shane frees up and hits him up those super fast punches of his. However, Vince pushes Shane into Taker for a chokeslam. Taker then stares down Vince and chases him out of the ring.
