It was an addition we speculated would likely be added to the card yesterday, and Divas champ Charlotte seems to have made it official on her Twitter last night:
Headed to Toronto... Tomorrow my career will come full circle against @NatbyNature #WWERoadblock pic.twitter.com/2wipG5du1E
— Charlotte (@MsCharlotteWWE) March 12, 2016
The "full circle" comment is in reference to a NXT TakeOver match (which you can see highlights of above in the header video) in 2014 that was integral to kickstarting the women's wrestling movement in WWE. Charlotte's successful title defense against victory over Natalya to claim the vacated title, with father Ric Flair and godfather/uncle Bret Hart in their corners, made match of the year lists and paved the way for the many in the WWE Universe to accept ladies as "real" wrestlers rather than strictly "Divas".
Unfortunately, this renewal of their rivalry won't have much of a build. In addition to being placed on the card at the last minute (and it's worth noting that WWE hasn't confirmed on social media or their website, so this technically could one of the non-televised matches), Natty hasn't been much of a presence on TV of late. Last time the former Divas champ had a recurring storyline, she was having issues with Paige back when the Nature Girl was still a babyface.
Most outlets are assuming this match between the two legacy performers will be for the butterfly belt, and there's no reason not to. Charlotte is heading into one of the biggest women's matches in WrestleMania history when she faces fellow NXT alums Becky Lynch & Sasha Banks in Texas, while Natalya is without a program, let alone a spot on the Mania card.
With or without the title on the line, here's the updated Roadblock card:
Triple H (c) vs. Dean Ambrose for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Brock Lesnar vs. Bray Wyatt
Charlotte (c) vs. Natalya
The New Day (c) vs. Sheamus & King Barrett for the WWE tag team titles
The Revival (c) vs. Enzo Amore & Colin Cassaday for the NXT tag team titles
