Based on recent television, it certainly looks like WWE is planning to have Ryback challenge Kalisto for the United States championship at WrestleMania 32 on Sun., April 3, 2016, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
When asked who he thinks his opponent will be, the diminutive dynamo, as Mauro Ranallo would call him, told Planeta Wrestling in a recent interview he doesn't care:
"I don't care. I accept any challenge. Everybody wants to be United States Champion, but the most important thing is to be ready physically and mentally. For example, I defeated Alberto Del Rio because I'm smarter and faster than him. Everyone thinks that they can take away that title from me but I want to show the world that I'll be champion at least for the rest of the year."
Ryback presents an interesting clash of styles but there's legitimate concern over whether or not fans will have any interest in such a match. Then again, WrestleMania sells itself and they'll have a great big stage to create interest to set up future matches.
