WWE RAW RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR FEB. 29

Chris here. Let's do this.

WWE Signature and a recap of Triple H getting over as a babyface last week.

________________________________________

Triple H comes out to start the show.

Trips talks about authority and how some people have it and the rest bow down to it. We hate it, and we want to challenge it. However, we do not challenge authority because we are afraid. That fear allows authority to stay right where it is.

Now for Roman Reigns? He chose to challenge and disrespect Triple H, and he lost.....very, very badly. So badly that he's sitting at home breathing through his mouth and watching his WrestleMania dream fade away.

The moral of the story is that you do not challenge authority.

As Trips goes on, Dean Ambrose interrupts, and he's still selling last week's beatdown as the crowd cheers for him.

Ambrose says that he just got off the phone with Reigns. Reigns says "hi", and that he's coming for Trips. Trips makes an Oscars barb before going on.

Ambrose said that he wanted to have a chat last week, but he kinda got mauled by one Brock Lesnar, leading to Ambrose challenging him to a street fight. He also mentions how busy last week was.

Ambrose asks Trips a question: Who did Trips want (or not want) to see win the triple threat at Fastlane? Trips responds by saying that Ambrose was a nonfactor in that match, and it came down to Lesnar and Reigns.

Ambrose responds by getting in Trips' face and stands up for the little people by saying that he was probably the last guy he'd want to fact at WrestleMania. Trips responds by calling Ambrose crazy.

Ambrose says that Trips is smart enough to realize that he cannot beat Dean Ambrose. Ambrose tries to get in Trips' head as the crowd chants "Ambrose." Trips tries to defend himself, but the crowd starts chanting that "you can't beat him."

Ambrose gets in Trips' face again and challenges Trips to a match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, an idea that the crowd highly supports. Trips laughs this off, but the idea intrigues him to the point that he'll consider it and give an answer by the end of tonight's show.

As for tonight, Trips WAS going to give Ambrose the night off, but he changes his mind. Therefore, Trips puts Ambrose up against Alberto Del Rio.

Becky Lynch vs Sasha Banks (#1 Contenders for Divas Championship)

Ric Flair and Charlotte are ringside to observe.

This was a really good back-and-forth match as these two almost always have. The interesting ending came when Sasha and Becky were sparring on the turnbuckle. Becky hit Sasha with a series of headbutts, but Sasha hits a sunset flip powerbomb. However, neither can answer the referee's count.

Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks fight to a draw

This is getting really interesting.

Dolph Ziggler vs The Miz

This happened. Miz won with a school-boy following a bit corner whip.

Recap of Shane McMahon's return last week.

________________________________________

Stephanie McMahon comes out to accept the Vincent J. McMahon Legacy of Excellent Award.

Steph talks about how she earned the award and was having a proud moment until Shane McMahon interrupted. Therefore, Steph plans to accept the award now, and demands respect from the crowd. They decide not to oblige, instead chanting for "Shane-O-Mac." Steph shuts them down by saying that he isn't here.

Steph tries to accept the award by reading her prepared speech, but the crowd will not stop booing. She instead shuts the prepared speech and cradles the award like a baby. She then rips the crowd for chanting during her speech. After a moment, she kicks over the award table and rips the crowd and Shane for disrespecting her.

The ripping continues with Steph asking why Shane is doing what he's been doing, eventually dropping the bomb that Shane doesn't care about anyone but himself. Although Stephanie loves her brother, she does not respect him because he continuously stabs her in the back.

She eventually calls the crowd "entitled....wastes of life" and tells them that they will one day bow to authority.

She slams the mic down, and I am on the floor bowing to this woman.

Lucha Dragons vs Rusev and Sheamus

Two thing to mention. First is that Sin Cara's mask is amazing. Second....why are the League of Nations still constantly calling for the DDT?

This happened. After some flippy stuff, Rusev kicked Kalisto's head off to win.

Afterward, the LoN calls for more DDTs before Alberto Del Rio stomps Kalisto.

Ryback vs Adam Rose

This was interesting. Rose was getting a bit of offense in until Ryback absolutely snapped and started beating the ever-loving hell out of Rose. After a referee separation, Ryback hit Shellshock to win.

As soon as the three count was made, Ryback left the ring area.

Recap of Brock Lesnar killing Dean Ambrose.

Chris Jericho and AJ Styles vs The New Day

Before the match, The New Day cuts a promo calling themselves the most successful group in WWE because they are a brotherhood. A group hug ensues before Xavier Woods says that they will fight anyone who disputes them being the best trio in wrestling. The Elite have better be taking notice.

Although not as good as last week's match, this was still a fun one. In the end, Jericho caught Kofi Kingston as he was going for Trouble in Paradise and locked in the Walls of Jericho to win.

Y2AJ def The New Day

After the match, Y2AJ challenges The New Day to a tag team title match on next week's Raw.

Vince McMahon comes out to the ring.

He tells us to imagine the night after WrestleMania when he introduces Shane McMahon, the man who would be running WWE.......of course this will only happen as a result of multiple simultaneous miracles. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon would quit WWE, and Vince would be sidelined.

Vince says that the crowd is hoping that Shane can lead wrestling to new levels never attained before.

However, none of that will happen since "only fools believe in miracles". Vince calls Shane a fool, but he loves him just enough to be able to teach him a lesson.

And of course that lesson will be taught by The Undertaker inside Hell in a Cell.

The Undertaker comes out now.

As Vince says that Taker is his force of destruction, Taker grabs Vince's throat and tells him that he knows what's going to happen to Shane. Taker says that Shane's blood will be on Vince's hands, not Taker's.

Taker leaves, and Vince says that he will be standing in the ring after WrestleMania realizing that Shane has failed Vince as a son. So much so that Shane will be written out of his will, and Steph will get Vince's fortunes.

In fact, Vince will renounce Shane as a son after WrestleMania, and will only be recognized as a "son of a bitch."

Jey Uso vs Bubba Ray Dudley

Again, this one happened. Near the end, D-Von Dudley threw a table at Jimmy Uso. The distraction allowed Bubba Ray to hit the Bubba Bomb on Jey to win.

Yet another Goldust and R-Truth segment.

Kevin Owens vs Big Show

This happened. Owens dominated for most of this match until Big Show choke-crotched him onto the rope. Owens tumbled outside and couldn't answer the ten count.

Big Show def Kevin Owens by count-out

Yep.

Renee Young interviews Brie Bella about family and what not. Brie talks until Lana interrupts and talks about love and all that. Brie compares Rusev to that bear from The Revenant and tells Lana to shave Rusev's back...a real thing that was said.

Brie Bella vs Naomi

Again, this happened. Naomi won with a sort-of armbar submission.

Naomi def Brie Bella

Afterward, Lana comes out and mockingly applauds Brie.

The Fabulous Freebirds are announced for the WWE Hall of Fame.

Backstage, Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks argue about the double pin and who would have really won. Charlotte interrupts to say that Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch will compete again on SmackDown for the #1 contendership.

Dean Ambrose vs Alberto Del Rio

This was a pretty good match that really did a good job in continuing to build Dean Ambrose as a huge babyface as Del Rio continued his vicious streak. The end came when Triple H came down to the ring. As he continued to the ring, he called in the League of Nations to beat Ambrose down for the DQ.

Dean Ambrose def Alberto Del Rio by DQ

The LoN beats up Ambrose, shakes Trips' hand, and leave. This leaves Trips and Ambrose in the ring where Trips rips Ambrose for continuing to ignore authority. This causes Ambrose to spark up and initiate a flurry of offense as the crowd goes absolutely insane. This is ended by a Pedigree from Trips.

Trips accepts Ambrose's challenge for a title shot before leaving. Ambrose crawls to a mic and thanks Trips. Trips stops what he's doing, ditches his jacket, and goes back to the ring. He throws Ambrose out of the ring, throws Byron Saxton somewhere, and clears the announce table. He then lays Ambrose on it and beats Ambrose unconscious.

Trips stands tall to end as Ambrose lays unconscious on the table.
