WWE reports Roman Reigns had surgery to fix a deviated septum, no timetable for a return

In the latest update to the story of whether or not Roman Reigns is actually injured, it would appear the truth is that he was not injured by Triple H on Raw but rather the report from Dave Meltzer is correct in the sense that he was getting a pre-existing issue taken care of.

WWE.com updated its initial report with these details and yet another photo that does indicate he underwent surgery and it wasn't just an angle to write him off television:

"Roman underwent nasal reconstruction surgery, which consisted of a deviated septum that was fixed and realigned," WWE Senior Ringside Physician Dr. Chris Amann told WWE.com. "He also had a turbinate that was also fixed as well as a reduction of a nasal fracture Reigns will continue to undergo observation as he recuperates but a timetable for his return to action has not yet been discussed."

And the photo:

That looks much more in line with the new report of the work that was done. It's still curious timing, considering how close we are to WrestleMania 32.

What a strange business.
