As you can probably tell from rash of contract news today, PWInsider says WWE is in “signing mode right now”.
That apparently entails a change in how they’re scouting the independent scene. WWE Developmental staff are focused on watching as many shows as possible whether they can get to them in-person or not. While streaming events, they’re writing up full “agent reports” on the performers, the same way they would for wrestlers already under contract to the company. This way, Triple H, William Regal and his team can learn about strengths, weakness and monitor progress for anyone who is or might someday be on their wish list of talent they want to sign.
In addition to that change in procedure, Mike Johnson’s sources also tell him we can expect to see a lot of signings in the first three months of 2017.
So in addition Mickie James, Evie, Kimber Lee and Heidi Lovelace (as well as Wales’ Nixon Newell, who Wrestling Observer reported as signed in their Newsletter last week), look for even more folks to be showing up in Orlando next year.
Who’s on your wish list?
