She impressed the brass with her return to WWE after six years, and turned her NXT TakeOver: Toronto match into a contract offer. The only question was whether or not she’d accept it.

According to PWInsider, Mickie James has decided to take that deal. The 37 year old is expected to start back with the company next month.

There’s no specific mention of it in the report, but it sounds like this is a standard, full-time contract. Insider says James is expected to start with the SmackDown brand in January of 2017. That would put the country singer and mother of a two-year old son on the road Saturday - Tuesday most weeks.

Mickie will have time to build her already impressive resume (which includes 5 WWE Women’s titles & a Divas championship, 3 TNA Knockouts reigns and numerous belts from smaller feds) while with the ‘E. She’s said to have signed for multiple years.

Excited to have her back? Think the blue brand is the right place for her?
