Alexa Bliss retains SmackDown women’s title over Becky Lynch

Alexa Bliss may have just gotten her custom side plates on the SmackDown women’s championship but she still had to defend that title against the women she won it from, Becky Lynch, on tonight’s (Dec. 27, 2016) episode of SmackDown Live in Chicago.

The match was moving along just fine when Lynch got control and appeared to be poised to win the title. Then, some familiar music hit and a masked wrestler — wearing the same gear Lynch donned last week — came rushing out to distract Becky.

It worked, but only briefly.

Bliss had to fight her way out of a submission but once she did, she feigned injury and again gave the masked wrestler the chance to distract Lynch long enough to set Bliss up to get the win. When asked in a post-match interview who the masked wrestler was, Alexa claimed it was likely Sasha Banks or Nia Jax.

Right!
