Stephanie McMahon shuts down CM Punk chants in Chicago in the best way possible

It took all of a few seconds of Stephanie McMahon speaking in front of the Chicago crowd at Monday Night Raw tonight for the “CM Punk” chants to start. No one is better at shutting chants down than Stephanie and she delivered in the best way possible here.

“If you could go ahead and keep that up for two minutes and 15 seconds,” she started, “you would last one second longer than Punk did.”

She’s referring, of course, to the fact that Punk lasted just two minutes and 14 seconds in his MMA debut fight against Mickey Gall at UFC 203 earlier this year. The fans immediately stopped chanting for their hometown hero.

That’s how it’s done, folks.

For what it’s worth, the chants picked up again a short while later but they weren’t nearly as strong and steady.
