WWE decided to load up its final television show of the year, next week’s episode of SmackDown Live in Chicago, Illinois. How loaded is it? Here’s everything they have planned so far, and this isn’t taking into account any surprises that may be in store:
- John Cena returns
We haven’t seen him in months, as he’s been off being a movie and TV star and all that, but he’s got some business to take care of with AJ Styles (maybe) and probably throw his name in the hat for the Royal Rumble, in the case that he’s not gunning for the WWE world championship.
- AJ Styles vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Baron Corbin (WWE world championship)
Speaking of said championship, Styles will be defending it against both Ziggler and Corbin in a triple threat match that was made official this past week when Ziggler and Corbin couldn’t go to a finish.
- Alexa Bliss vs. Becky Lynch (Women’s championship)
Lynch donned a full body suit to beat Bliss this past week in disguise, and a fake knee injury will be put to the test in yet another title match between the two.
- Four Corners Elimination Match (Tag team championship)
Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt will put the straps on the line against The Usos, Rhyno & Heath Slater, and American Alpha. Luke Harper looms large.
That’s it so far. Monday Night Raw, by the way, has nothing currently advertised for next week.
Just saying.
