WWE Roadblock End of the Line results: Cesaro & Sheamus win tag team titles from The New Day

Tumblr

WWE kicked off its Roadblock: End of the Line pay-per-view (PPV) tonight (Sun., Dec. 18, 2016) at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with The New Day attempting to extend their tag team championship record to 484 days.

They did not.

That’s because Cesaro & Sheamus, a tag team forever in turmoil, until they finally weren’t, worked together to dethrone the longtime champs.

They started fast, with Cesaro landing a big kick and looking for the pinfall early but Kofi Kingston kicking out. The challengers were in control for much of the match, including a spot where Cesaro forced Kingston to tap to the Sharpshooter but the referee was distracted. This led right into Cesaro hitting the Neutralizer and Big E showing up just in time to break the three count.

After surviving some tomfoolery, Cesaro feigned a tag, jumped in, took a Trouble in Paradise and had Kofi thinking he was the legal man. He was not. Sheamus then scooped Kingston up for the pin.

After, The New Day celebrated with Cesaro as they passed the titles to him. That led to Sheamus grabbing both and celebrating by himself.

So even when they’re champs and working well together, they’re still going at each other.

Yep.
