WWE Tribute to the Troops 2016 results

WWE Week continues on USA with tonight's Tribute to the Troops event from Washington, D.C. airing at 8 p.m. ET. The show was taped after SmackDown Live last night, but we will have live coverage of the show as it airs, so if you're going to talk about it in the comments section before the broadcast, please make sure you use the spoiler tag.

Advertised for tonight: Stuff! Things! Stars from Raw and SmackDown! Messages from celebrities! And all to honor men and women who definitely deserve it - America’s armed forces!

WWE TRIBUTE TO THE TROOPS RESULTS

- Stephanie & Shane McMahon greet us, saying they’re putting their differences aside to for tonight.

- Lillian Garcia sings the National Anthem, and a “U-S-A” chant gets started.

- Roman Reigns is out to talk about being proud to be U.S. champ, then is interupted by Kevin Owens. KO heels it up for the occassion, threatening to win the United States title from Reigns and change the name to the Canadian title. Roman challenges Owens, but...

- Rusev and Lana are out next yet, as it looks like we’re setting up the Americans vs. Foreigners TttT main event. Rusev talks about Bulgaria’s greatness, Lana does her usual spiel, and her husband says he’ll crush Reigns like he did to “little Enzo”. That brings out Cass, and Mick Foley makes the tag match.

- The new Wyatt Family vs. American Alpha & Dolph Ziggler is announced for later, and the next match... a tag match to determine the new #1 contenders for New Day

- Sheamus & Cesaro def. Gallows & Anderson, Golden Truth & Shining Stars in a Fatal 4Way to earn a shot at the Raw tag titles this Sunday at Roadblock

- Miz and Maryse walk backstage as JBL tells us the Awesome One has issued an open challenge to anyone on the SmackDown roster

- Video package of Superstars meeting troops around the world

- Miz says he’s honored to represent the Armed Forces in The Marine franchise, and has issued an open challenge to inspire the troops. Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias answers and makes a few jokes about the Intercontinental champ. Then he introduces his “client” Apollo Crews.

- Apollo Crews def. Miz via pinfall with a roll-up after Iglesias took selfies with Maryse and the champ (including when he was loopy from a big clothesline and throw)

- Miz gets a mic and makes it clear this wasn’t a title match. We then see the selfies Fluffy took.

- The Wyatt Family def. American Alpha & Dolph Ziggler via pinfall (Abigail-into-RKO on Gable)

- Bayley is backstage with a service dog. Charlotte & Dana Brooke walk up and make jokes, which lead to Bayley kind of calling Dana a dog, and sets up our next match...

- Bayley def. Dana Brooke via pinfall following a Bayley-to-Belly

- TJ Perkins, Rich Swann, & Jack Gallagher def. Brian Kendrick, Tony Nese, and Drew Gulak via pinfall (following Swann Song on Gulak)

- Video of Steph & Triple H leaving a wreath at the grave of the Unknown Soldier in a ceremony at Arlington National Cemetary

- New Day are talking about their match on Sunday, and their historic week (including Woods calling them “Elite”), when AJ Styles and Anderson & Gallows walk up and talk trash about the World title and their exploits in Japan. When they say they’re the greatest team in history, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose & Roman Reigns walk up. They laugh about anyone else calling themselves the best team and walk off.

- Enzo walks Cass out for the main event, and gives a “how you doin?” to each branch of the service

- Big Cass & Roman Reigns def. Rusev & Kevin Owens via pinfall (Spear to Rusev)
