This week’s episode of SmackDown Live opened with Baron Corbin refusing to stand with any of his teammates on the men’s Survivor Series team. A backstage confrontation with Shane McMahon led to his getting booked into a match with the returning Kalisto.
You’ll remember Corbin was the guy who put Kalisto on the shelf with an injury. So he exacted payback, attacking Corbin’s knee after he injured it slipping off the apron. That meant Baron had to be taken off the Survivor Series team.
Backstage, McMahon gave General Manager Daniel Bryan a list of names on the current roster and said he was fine with choosing any one of them. Bryan promised an answer by the end of the night.
That answer: Shane O’Mac himself.
He was initially resistant to the idea but a rowdy crowd in Glasgow seemed to convince him and he led a “YES” chant to close SmackDown Live. Both McMahon and Bryan are scheduled to appear on Raw next week.
The new SmackDown Live men’s Survivor Series team:
