WWE RAW RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR NOV. 7

There was no time for pain, no energy for anger, the sightlessness of hatred slips away. Walking through winter streets alone, he stops and takes a breath with confidence and self-control, but me, I'm just here to liveblog a pro wrestling show, folks.

Show opens with a video recap of last week's Survivor Series team confrontation and the United States Championship match that ensued. Thence to the intro video.

In the arena, Stephanie McMahon makes her entrance. She welcomes us to the show and says that unfortunately Mick Foley can't be here tonight, and she gets the cheap pop. She says we're amidst tumult, as a war of world has infiltrated our homes, pitting us against each other, red vs. blue, Raw vs. SmackDown at Survivor Series. Raw is fighting for its life, she says, and they're going to dominate SmackDown in the three traditional Survivor Series matches on the show.

She then introduces the five men on Raw's team at Survivor Series, first the four men we knew were on the team already, Kevin Owens, Chris Jericho, Roman Reigns, and Braun Strowman, before introducing the final member, Seth Rollins. Owens gets on the mic and assumes it has to be a joke. Seth Rollins can't be on his team! Rollins says Steph knows she needs The Man on her team if she wants to guarantee a win, and he's been given certain assurances, but rest assured, nothing is finished between the two of them and ol' Sparkle-Crotch.

Steph brings up a graphic of SmackDown's team and she runs down reasons why each member of Team Raw should work together to take them down. She doesn't want Daniel Bryan to be proven right when he says Raw superstars are lazy and complacent. She says she and Foley drafted the best to Raw and they're going to decimate and annihilate at Survivor Series, and they're gonna fight like their jobs depend on it, because they do.

She leaves, and KO says she's right, they need to get on the same page. For the last few months, Team Kevin and Chris have been taking over Raw, and on the way they've made enemies, and they can even admit they made a few mistakes. Jericho says they can even apologize, and he says that Rollins and Reigns need to come together, because even though they're stupid idiots, they're their stupid idiots. KO says that's why they have to listen to the co-captains of Team Raw, Kevin and Chris.

Jericho says they're good, but not good enough. They need winners, and if they stick with Jericho and Owens, they'll be winners. KO says it can't be pathetic like the Shield, which he then says fell apart because they were terrible human beings who kept turning on each other. Jericho says Team Kevin and Chris lead by example and tells them to keep their ears open and mouths shut.

Rollins and Reigns then start brawling with Jericho and Owens until Braun comes over and beats on Rollins and Jericho, running them over in turn before hitting the inverted chokeslam on Y2J. Reigns and Owens end up outside, meanwhile, until Roman runs KO off and Braun faces off against him. Steph comes back out, saying she'll let them get it out of their system in a five-way match tonight.

Commentary promises New Day addressing the Raw tag team elimination team and an announcement of the remaining two women on that team for later in the show before cutting to Brian Kendrick walking backstage before a short recap of the title match, featuring the Frankensteiner spot where TJ Perkins bumped his neck on the apron.

A house ad for 205 Live follows and we go to break.

________________________________________

Back from commercial with a slow-mo recap of the same Frankensteiner spot, sponsored by Popeye's, because nothing makes you more hungry for fried chicken than potential neck trauma.

Brian Kendrick & Noam Dar vs. Rich Swann & Sin Cara

Handshakes all around, Dar and Swann start. Leapfrog, drop-down, Swann with a kick to the gut, sends Dar in the corner but Dar escapes and throws hands before a corner dropkick gets two. Tag to Sin Cara, whip, clotheslines Dar over the ropes, suicide dive but Kendrick eats it. Cara up top, Kendrick yanks him to the floor and we go to break as the crowd starts up with the Dar singalongs.

Back from commercial and Kendrick has Cara locked in a cravate, grounded to the mat. Dar tags in, back suplex gets one, uppercut into a neckcrank into the rear chinlock, Sin stands up, off the ropes into the one-arm roll-through powerbomb!

Tags all around, Swann in like a house afire with lariats and stomps. He charges in, Kendrick gets boots up, Swann snaps off the jumping Frankensteiner into the Rolling Thunder splash but Dar breaks the pin. Cara dumps Dar and hits a slingshot senton atomico on him...

Rich Swann & Sin Cara win by pinfall with a victory roll pin from Swann on Brian Kendrick.

Kendrick gets on the mic and yells at Dar for losing the match, and calls him a loser. He says he lost in the CWC because he doesn't have any talent, and he lost here in his own country because he doesn't have any heart, but most importantly he lost as his partner because he failed to recognize that the champ is the best cruiserweight in the world. He says Dar is just like TJP, always failing when it matters the most. The crowd chants and Dar soaks it in, so Kendrick sucker punches him. Stomps follow but Dar gets to his feet and throws forearms before kicking his leg out from under him. A running kick sends Kendrick out of the ring and Dar poses on the ropes.

Michael Cole puts over a closer look at Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar from Brock's point of view as being up next and we go to break.

________________________________________

Back from commercial and we start with... Goldberg's point of view? Fair enough. It's a video package recounting his career with a focus on the things that theoretically make this match interesting. Oh hey, footage of Goldberg training in the present day, lifting weights and such.

Cut to Steph backstage on the phone, she says she can't be on SmackDown tomorrow because she has a shareholder's meeting in the US, but she invites Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan to come to Raw next week. Sami Zayn rolled up while she was on the phone, and she called him in here to say she finds his presence completely irritating. She says Mick Foley agreed to let Sami accept Dolph Ziggler's Intercontinental Championship open challenge, but she thinks that spot belongs to Rusev, so she made a match between the two of them for the Survivor Series contendership for the IC title. She emphasizes that whoever wins better bring the title home and we go to break.

________________________________________

Back from commercial, Enzo and Cass come out. They do the deal, calling SmackDown sawft and whatnot. The Club out next, then Golden Truth, then Cesaro & Sheamus before Michael Cole promises us New Day after the break.

________________________________________

Back from commercial and Sheamus cuts a quick promo about how great a Celtic nation Ireland is. Cesaro tells him nobody likes him, and Sheamus continues, saying that with those unicorn clowns as captains, Scotland has a better chance of winning the World Cup than Raw has of beating SmackDown. He makes a joke about Scotland's national pastime that I don't quite catch, and Cesaro says that Scotland believes that he is the captain of their team. Sheamus lays claim to the captainship, and Cass denies him.

Enzo says he should be worried about things like the sun, looking in the mirror, little kids stealing his Lucky Charms, and ultimately dying alone, which Cass admits is harsh. Sheamus yells at Gallows and Gallows calls him a nerd and tells him to shut up lest the Club smash him and Cesaro into one Eurotrash twin. Cesaro says that was really creative, like calling him Swiss Miss or bald, when they could have really insulted him by calling him the third member of the Club or Sheamus something like the Red Rooster. He then does the "Shame!" gimmick for interrupting him.

Goldust tries to play peacemaker and gets shut up, and Sheamus says as far as he's concerned they can all do a Riverdance, because he's out of here. Big E then does the thing and New Day come out. They're working a Braveheart gimmick but Xavier doesn't know how to play the bagpipes, or Francesca's Scottish cousin Agnes. He's been trying to make a noise on it all day and grew a greater respect for the Scottish people. Kofi asks Sheamus where he's going, and Sheamus turns the shame around, accidentally backhanding Cesaro in the process.

He asks what the hell New Day's outfits are since Halloween was last week, and Xavier says New Day like to have fun. They're the captains, they say, and Xavier says he knows they're all going to fight valiantly for Raw, but Karl Anderson says the Club is out too, because they know they'll lose with New Day as captains. Big E does the Braveheart speech, interrupted momentarily by Kofi pointing out that his accent sounds more like a pirate than a Scotsman.

Enzo says he doesn't know what they've been smoking in their bagpipes, but he likes it, and SmackDown is going down like a hole in the ground. Goldust drops the title of the movie and suddenly gets the joke before pledging to the team. Cesaro speaks for himself and Sheamus and throws their hat in, but Sheamus gripes more before accepting himself. He says he's only doing it because they still have another shot at the titles, though.

This leaves the Club as odd men out, and Machine Gun takes a sword from one of New Day before saying nobody's in charge of the Club, and the first opportunity they get, they'll stab each and every one of them in the back. Gallows mocks them for getting upset about Karl's treatment of the sword before saying they'll take care of SmackDown no problem because their teams are jokes. New Day says if they're jokes, why did they beat the Club so many times, before saying they asked for a match against the Club tonight because they saw this coming.

But first, we go to break with an ad for this week's episode of NXT.

Back from commercial

New Day (Big E & Kofi Kingston) vs. the Club (Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows)

Anderson and Kofi start, Karl hits monkey flips but Kofi lands on his feet both times and does the Trevor Lee double stomp to him. Tag to E and the Unicorn Stampede ensues. Big E with the spanking abdominal stretch now. Off the ropes for the big splash but Anderson dodges, pushing him to the apron where Gallows levels him with a roundhouse kick. Sick Kick, tag to Gallows, he stomps a mudhole in E. Hands thrown, tag to Anderson again, Anderson throws punches to the face and stomps to the knee but E fights him.

Tag to Gallows, corner avalanche, tag to Anderson, back suplex / neckbreaker combo gets two and Karl goes to the grounded reverse chinlock. E out but he runs into a dropkick to the knee taking him to the mat for grounded punches. Gallows tags in, another roundhouse to the head into a series of elbow drops for two. Overhead elbows to the shoulder, another chinlock in until E gets to his feet. Off the ropes and into a big boot from the Big Hoot. Tags all around, Kofi with a diving elbow and a series of clotheslines, Boom Drop, but Anderson ducks Trouble in Paradise.

Turning crossbody, Kofi dumps Gallows, reverse roundhouse to Anderson, tag to E, Midnight Hour is set up but Gallows superkicks Anderson out of it! Kofi dives into an Anderson spinebuster, tag to Gallows...

The Club win by pinfall with a Magic Killer on Big E.

The Club Too Sweet up the ramp and we cut backstage with Golden Truth. Goldust is hyped for Survivor Series, but Truth has to talk to him. They were on the Survivor Series team he says, but he wanted to surprise Goldust. They need a vacation, so he traded their spot for a timeshare at the Shining Star Resort! Goldust wonders why he didn't tell him before and Truth says it was because they were dressed like Game of Thrones.

Truth shows him the pamphlet and Goldust puts on his reading glasses and sees the holes-- no room, the all you can eat buffet is on Jimmy Buffet, etc, etc.-- and says he's going to get them their spot back.

Commentary tells us that Brock's half of the video package is up next and throws to break on a house ad for SmackDown tomorrow.

________________________________________

Back from commercial and into the video package, very much the equal and opposite of Goldberg's, talking about how Brock is the reality that destroys fantasy and how his wife and son shouldn't watch and see their father get humiliated. Commentary then promises a Lesnar/Goldberg face to face for next week.

Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens are walking backstage and bickering. KO says that if they could get Braun on their side, they could "use him all the time", which is great. Jericho barges into Braun's dressing room and says he has a bone to pick and asks him if he knows what happens to people who throw Chris Jericho around. KO plays nice cop and says they're a team, and Braun asks what Chris is gonna do, put him on his list again? Owens puts him over as a giant man who moves like someone half his size, and says that Team Kevin and Chris and Braun sounds pretty great.

Jericho agrees under duress, saying Team Chris and Kevin and Braun sounds delightful. Braun stands up and says he's on Team Braun before leaving. Jericho puts him on the List and we go to break.

________________________________________

Back from commercial with yet another Emma vignette.

Golden Truth (Goldust & R-Truth) vs. Shining Stars (Epico & Primo)

Truth and Epico start off, Truth with a big hip toss off the ropes into the splits and a dancing leg drop for one. Tag to Primo, Truth fights with right hands but Epico whips him into a dropkick and mounted punches. Primo chokes Truth against the ropes and bounces off for a through-the-ropes senton before slingshotting back in and tagging Epico. Double suplex into a cover, Kick to the gut and an overhead chop, stomping Truth in the corner, tag made back to Primo.

More boots are put to R-Truth before a snapmare into a reverse chinlock. Truth gets to his feet and fights out with elbows, Primo shoots him off, he gets a sunset flip but Epico got the tag before Primo went over and they both dropkick Truth. Epico keeps on him, reverse chinlock again. Truth out with body blows and Epico runs into a leg lariat.

Tags made, Goldust ducks a lariat and fires clotheslines of his own. Drop-down slap, catches Epico into a Manhattan Drop off a dive and bulldogs Primo into mounted punches in the corner. Whip across, Primo gets the boot up but Goldust plants him with a spinebuster when he charges in. Epico comes in with the brochure again but Goldust tears it up and punches him. Truth with a Cactus Clothesline to Epico, Primo comes in from the distraction...

Shining Stars win by pinfall with a rollup and a foot on the ropes from Primo to Goldust, becoming the fifth team for Team Raw at Survivor Series.

Commentary puts over the women's team announcement as coming up next and throws to break.

________________________________________

Back from commercial and Byron Saxton puts Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon's invitation over for next week.

In the arena, Michael Cole is in the ring with a mic. He explains Survivor Series elimination matches and all the scenarios that can arise in an elimination match that large. Charlotte comes out and he congratulates her for making history last week and being named the captain of Team Raw. She says she was born a leader and if any of the SmackDown peasants think they're gonna steal her spotlight, they can keep drinking the blue Kool-Aid.

Nia Jax out next, he says they've seen how dominant she can be, and Charlotte chimes in, saying that she beat the weakest link and weakness will not be tolerated. Nia says she does what she wants, when she wants, and just because Charlotte's the leader she doesn't get to dictate terms.

Alicia Fox out next, and she makes some long-winded celebrity analogy to say that she and Nia can be civil at Survivor Series, and that Team Raw will survive because they're survivors.

Bayley out next, to the delight of everyone in Glasgow. She hugs Cole and says that Charlotte might think she's a weak link, but at Survivor Series she'll prove her wrong. She's so excited to be here and the crowd intensifies. She's excited to be on Survivor Series, and they get louder still. Charlotte is covering her ears, she's super mad. Bayley is stoked about all the people she could wrestle from SmackDown, and about how it could come down to her and Charlotte vs. Nikki and Carmella. She knows that to beat SmackDown, they need to work together.

Charlotte takes the mic from Cole to announce the fifth woman and the crowd continues to sing for Bayley. Charlotte claims to not understand what they're singing because of their accents. She continues trying to introduce the fifth woman, saying she was a critical part of the Women's Revolution and made her a better champion. Dana Brooke comes out and Charlotte says she's the fifth woman.

Michael Cole says nope, sorry, not Dana, it's this woman. Sasha Banks comes out and Charlotte gets mock teary, saying that she thought after her injuries at Hell in a Cell she wouldn't make Survivor Series, so she made Dana her alternate. Sasha says she couldn't hear over the music and sings along with an arm wrapped around Bayley, before saying Charlotte knows she needs the Boss on side to make sure they beat SmackDown. Charlotte says she proved that she was the best and that Sasha isn't the Boss anymore. The world is different, she says, ask Nia Jax if she thinks Sasha is the Boss.

Nia and Sasha face off and we go to break.

________________________________________

Back from commercial and a trios match has broken out.

Alicia Fox, Bayley, & Sasha Banks vs. Charlotte Flair, Dana Brooke, & Nia Jax

Bayley and Nia to start, Nia shoves Bayley to the mat. Collar-and-elbow, Nia gets Bayley set up top and shoves her. Bayley slips down and throws kicks but Nia grabs her in a gutwrench and chucks her. Fox tags in, locks a bodyscissors sleeper on but Jax shakes her off and throws her to the mat. Tag to Flair, knife-edge chop into a snapmare for one, then a front chancery into a side headlock.

Fox shoots her off, looks for a sweep, misses, leapfrog, dropkick, that beautiful northern lights suplex and she grabs the arm, tagging Sasha in. Double team on Charlotte, quick tag to Dana. Banks with a drop toehold, ducks a lariat, throws dropkicks, heels outside, triple baseball slide on Nia! She barely budges, however. Dana back in the ring, Sasha with an arm wringer into La Magistral for two. Front chancery, Brooke backs her into the ropes and tags Nia.

Probing kicks, off the ropes but Jax just clobbers Sasha to the mat and we go to break.

Back from commercial and Brooke has a reverse chinlock in on Banks, wrenching it hard and tossing Sasha away. Stomp, choke in the corner, Nia tags back in. Sasha with body blows, Jax drops her with a single headbutt and picks her up by the hair, tagging Charlotte in. Knees to the back into a Japanese stranglehold before Charlotte breaks to dump the other two faces off the apron. Back to the knees and the Japanese stranglehold, putting a knee in Sasha's back this time.

Sasha to her feet, Charlotte whips her, she grabs the ropes and throws Flair into Dana. Charlotte is able to grab some hair and goes for a scoop slam but eats an O'Connor roll that lets Sasha get the tag to Bayley. Crossbody, sliding elbow, sliding lariat, she sets Flair up on the apron for a rope-hung Stunner! Tube man back elbow, to the second for the diving back elbow, Dana breaks up the pin and throws Bayley into the turnbuckle.

Fox dumps Dana, Nia looks to attack Bayley but Fox gets in the way so Jax chucks her into the turnbuckle and corner avalanches her. Double knees from Sasha, Charlotte charges at her but she moves and takes Jax out! Charlotte dumps Sasha, but Bayley's right there...

Alicia Fox, Bayley, & Sasha Banks win by pinfall with the Bayley-to-Belly on Charlotte Flair.

Backstage, Seth Rollins is stretching. He's asked why he joined Team Raw when not too many people like him around here. That's okay, because he doesn't like too many people either. He says he was promised future opportunities, and Braun rolls up, saying not to worry about opportunities, because he might not have a future when he's done. He's never liked Rollins, and he's gonna snap him in half like a twig. Seth says one more person that doesn't like him, sounds like a party.

Commentary puts Zayn/Rusev over next and toss to break.

________________________________________

Back from commercial and Lana's in the ring. The crowd chants for her but she claims to not need the support of this "pathetic village". She asks America to stand up (uh...) and welcome their hero and so on.

Rusev vs. Sami Zayn (WWE Intercontinental Championship #1 Contender's Match)

Rusev on the attack immediately, laying Sami out and stomping his back in. Big right hands, a hammer whip into the turnbuckles and the cover gets one. Rusev wrenches Zayn by the nose and drops an overhead elbow on him into chest kicks and a choke on the apron. Catapult into the bottom rope but Zayn's still fighting. Rusev dumps him to the apron, Sami slingshots back in, ducks a lariat and hits a dropkick that sends Rusev outside himself and we go to break.

Back from commercial and Rusev has Sami grounded. Sami fights to his feet and they slug it out, Rusev winning the exchange. Shoulder thrusts in the corner and Sami's out of it, flopping to the mat. He throws raw, loose slaps and puts it together enough to low bridge Rusev on a charge, sending him outside to set up a tope con giro! Diving crossbody gets two and it's Rusev's turn to gasp for air.

Looking for the Blue Thunder Driver, Rusev blocks with a side headlock and elbows into a knockout roundhouse kick that gets a nearfall. Rusev looking for a corner avalanche, Sami jumps out of the way but Rusev catches him with a kick when Zayn charges in. Rusev heads up top...

Sami Zayn wins by pinfall with the Helluva Kick.

Off to break we go.

________________________________________

Back from commercial and Seth Rollins makes an entrance, so we must be headed right to our man event of the evening.

Braun Strowman vs. Chris Jericho vs. Kevin Owens vs. Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins

KO and Y2J immediately jump Rollins, leaving Roman and Braun in the ring together. They have a staredown when Braun blocks Roman from heading out, and Owens and Jerich get back in to cheer Braun on. He drops Jericho and goes back to staring at Roman while the other three fight outside. Roman's quicker on the punch and ducks two lariats only to get dropped by a third before Braun heads outside.

He comes up on Seth but Rollins has a kendo stick and goes to town on Strowman! Seth goes back for more plunder and comes up with a table. Braun runs him over before he can set it up and picks it up himself as we go to break.

Back from commercial and Braun is trying to hit the inverted chokeslam on Rollins but Seth plants feet on the apron and escapes. He looks for a dive but Braun gets in and cuts him off. Roman in with punches and Braun hits the inverted chokeslam! Jericho dives into a boot, Strowman turns around to see KO, and Owens tries to make nice before throwing a flurry of punches and running into a clothesline.

All four guys then converge on Braun but he throws them off like so many gnats. Jericho and Reigns get goozled but Owens breaks them free with a kick. More kicks, a springboard knee from Seth and Roman sends Braun outside with a Superman Punch! They pair off, Roman and Jericho and KO and Rollins. Roman with a Samoan drop, Rollins with a sling blade and they're in the ring alone now.

Seth and Roman circle but Braun gets up before they can do more, so Reigns hits a Superman Punch and Rollins a suicide dive to keep the big man down. They throw hands on him outside, maneuvering him over to the table... It's time! They set up the double powerbomb but Jericho and Owens cut them off! Y2J beats on Roman but he fights free with slicing right hands and Superman Punches Strowman onto the table!

Kevin and Chris throw Reigns into the barricade before he can capitalize and Owens tears up somebody's "I (heart) Roman" sign. Whip into the steps and Jericho holds Roman against the barricade for the cannonball. Looking for the same on Seth but he slips away and reverse STOs Owens into the barricade before powerbombing Jericho through Strowman and the table!

Rollins throws KO back into the ring and ducks a lariat, jumping knee, Owens slips out of a Falcon Arrow attempt but eats Avada Kedavra for two. Seth heads up top for a frog splash but the pool is empty. Pop-up powerbomb reversed into the Pedigree but Jericho pulls referee Chad Patton out of the ring! Seth throws a suicide dive on Jericho and tosses him back in the ring for a springboard knee but Y2J ducks and looks for the Walls of Jericho. Rollins fights out, 540 roundhouse into the Pedigree, Owens with a superkick to Rollins, Roman hits the Superman Punch on Owens...

Kevin Owens wins by pinfall after falling unconscious onto Chris Jericho's prone body.

Owens celebrates like he just retained the title anyway.

Commentary reminds us that Brock Lesnar and Goldberg will be face to face next week and that's the show, folks.
