When Nikki Bella returned from a career-threatening neck injury, she was given a spot on the SmackDown Live roster, where she’s been working as one of its top stars. She provides a great deal of depth to a division that is trying to create new stars in Alexa Bliss and Carmella.
And she’s loving it, as she told Sky Sports:
“I love being on Smackdown. I feel like there is so much more opportunity and we get to tell such fun, interesting stories. Everyone wants to work together to create gold - it's the best locker room I have ever been in throughout my whole career.”
Whether or not the women are getting more opportunities on SmackDown Live is up for debate. Then again, a Bella vs. Carmella feud would likely have no legs if it was forced to compete with Charlotte, Sasha Banks, Bayley, and Dana Brooke for time.
The brand split has created at least some opportunities. I’ll let you decide if the ladies on the blue brand are making the most of them.
