WWE SMACKDOWN RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR NOV. 29

People are sayin' the woman is damned, she makes you burn with a wave of her hand. The city's ablaze, the town's on fire, the woman's flames are reaching higher, but me, I'm here to liveblog a pro wrestling show, folks.

Show opens directly into the intro video before commentary runs down the announced festivities for the evening.

Renee Young is in the ring to introduce the SmackDown Women’s Championship contract signing. Alexa Bliss is out first, followed immediately thereafter by Becky Lynch.

Renee tries to direct traffic and Bliss cuts her off, telling her they’ll ask her if they need advice on bad fashion. Becky takes a shot at her for dressing like Harley Quinn and Bliss follows on saying Lynch isn’t smart enough to have a plan, and she’s only champion because of her dumb Irish luck. The WWE Universe agrees with her (boos), and that’s why she calls them a big pile of bricks.

Becky says Bliss reminds her of her cousin, because they’re both blond, obsessed with glitter, and cry when they don’t get their way, but her cousin is four years old, so what’s her excuse? Alexa is incensed by this and goes back to her foot being on the ropes, to which Becky says in Glasgow she had a choices to use her foot or lose her arm, but at TLC she’s not offering her that choice. She then signs the contract.

Alexa mocks Becky’s “fantasy world” where if you’re nice and work hard you can do anything you want, to which Lynch says that being nice didn’t get her where she is, she got what she has because she’s relentless, SmackDown’s own honey badger. She says Bliss has developed a victim mentality and Alexa looks like she’s going to get sick. She explains that’s because when the champion talks, she wants to vomit.

Bliss continues, saying life isn’t like the Disney Channel, and no matter how hard you work there’s always someone better, and she’s standing right in front of her. Collect your clover, eat your Lucky Charms, but it doesn’t matter because she’s gonna pour ice water on the champ’s straight fire. Alexa yells at her for using her real name and Lynch says she has one question for her...

Becky throws a punch and it’s on! They brawl a moment and Bliss eats an exploder suplex before being sent into the corner for more punishment. Across into the other as the crowd chants for the table, and Lynch strips it bare. She sets Bliss up top, drags the table across, looks for a super exploder but Alexa’s able to fight her off and shove her through the table!

Commentary puts over the Ambrose Asylum for later and Dolph Ziggler & Kalisto vs. Miz and Baron Corbin for after the break.

Back from commercial and we get a quick recap of the contract signing before Dolph Ziggler makes his entrance.

Baron Corbin & the Miz vs. Dolph Ziggler & Kalisto

Dolph and Corbin start, Baron getting distracted trying to clobber Kalisto off the apron. Ziggler with a dropkick and a Stinger Splash but Corbin levels him with a lariat after Dolph goes after Miz. The Lone Wolf stands over Dolph’s body and we head to break.

Back from commercial and Corbin is drawing Ziggler to his feet for a whip into the corner but Dolph shoves him outside on the rebound. Baron right back in, knocks Kalisto down, throws Dolph outside like a sack of potatoes, and tags Miz in. Miz gets a ladder out and leans it against the ringpost, tries to whip Dolph into it but he blocks.

Ziggler hits the big DDT on Miz and lays Baron out with a superkick! Referee Jason Ayers counts and they get back in at eight. Dolph makes the tag, Kalisto in with a big dropkick and leg kicks, ducks a lariat, springboard tornillo, HEADSCISSORS DRIVER! NOT ENOUGH! Miz shoves him into the ropes and catches him with a big boot on the rebound before laying Dolph out with a slingshot dropkick and tossing him into the barricade.

Kalisto with a suicide dive on Corbin, Dolph with a superkick to Miz, Maryse knocks him over with the ladder. Salida Del Sol connects... but Corbin has a chair!

Dolph Ziggler & Kalisto win by disqualification.

Our winners writhe in pain before commentary puts over the #1 contender’s tag and throws us to break.

Back from commercial with an ad for 205 Live.

American Alpha are working out backstage when an interview rolls up asking about their #1 contender’s match. Gable says of course they’re prepared. He says they weren’t prepared last week when they won the turmoil match, when Jordan says they actually have a lot in common with the Wyatts. Gable says they have powers, can they levitate? Because they’ll make ‘em fly with suplexes.

Enough having the whole world in their hands, they say, they’re gonna prove that they’re the premier team on SmackDown. Jason says the Wyatts should heed their own ominous warning and run when they see American Alpha.

Cut to the Wyats in the smoky room. Bray says they’re delusional and Randy cuts him off, saying he was once like them but now he sees everything and feels like he can truly belong. At Survivor Series they proved that they have a bond, that they’re the only two that matter. The only question, he says, is if Harper is going to do what he needs to take care of Kane tonight. Bray tells Luke to send Kane back to hell before looking at Orton and smiling.

Carmella is walking backstage, she’s in action after the break.

Back from commercial and Carmella makes her entrance. She yanks a microphone out of Greg Hamilton’s hands to give a special message to Nikki Bella’s boyfriend, at which point the crowd cuts her off with a “How you doin’” chant to which she says she’ll be doing a lot better when she gets out of here.

She wants to publicly apologize to John Cena for what she’s gonna do to his girlfriend in their no disqualification match. She’s gonna hit Nikki so hard with a chair that her Bella Twins are gonna be popping out of her back and rearrange her face so bad she’s not gonna think about a wedding. She imagines Nikki posting YouTube videos right from her hospital bed and E! canceling season two of Total Bellas...

Nikki Bella runs in! Double leg takedown and they brawl around the ring. Referee Dan Engler separates them and Carmella throws a huge slap, prompting Bella to break free and go to the ground and pound again. Carmella gets out of the ring by the skin of her feet and retreats up the ramp as Nikki stands tall in the ring, defiant.

Commentary proceeds to talk about the world title scene, throwing to a recap of Ellsworth/Styles III.

Dean Ambrose is walking backstage and the Ambrose Asylum is next after the break.

Back from commercial and Dean Ambrose makes his entrance.

He introduces us back to the Ambrose Asylum and says he he had to get his carpet reupholstered before introducing James Ellsworth. They shake hands and Dean congratulates him on the contract before asking how old his boots are, saying they look like he made them in fourth grade sewing class. Second question, did you ever think you’d be in the ring as a member of the SmackDown roster.

James says six months ago he’d never have imagined it, but he kept showing up, kept fighting, was in the right place at the right time and is now an official WWE superstar. And if there’s anything Dean ever needs, he’s here by his side. Dean shrugs it off, telling him to thank God for his, uh... strong bloodline, genetics... talent... good karma, maybe? But if he wants to wash Dean’s care, pick up his laundry, get him a six-pack and some Now and Laters, that’d be cool.

Dean moves on to discuss his future WWE World Championship title shot, asking him who he’s rooting for on Sunday. Ellsworth says it’d be an absolute honor to wrestle Dean for the title, but on the other hand he’s beat AJ Styles three times, so maybe, just maybe, he has AJ’s number and can do it again. Dean calls him drunk with power and AJ’s music hits.

AJ asks if this is what you’d call quality entertainment before hopping up on the announce table. He asks Ellsworth if he realizes he’s a prop just to insult him and says Dean would be better off with a ventriloquist’s dummy, because at least the dummy would have a chin. Ambrose asks if he’s saying he lost to a dummy three times and AJ loses his mind.

He says Dean knows good and well that Ellsworth would never have a shot if it weren’t for Dean interfering, and he’s tired of being made a joke. He demands respect, and if he doesn’t want to give it to him, he’ll beat it out of Ambrose, bouncing his head off every rung of his ladder, bend steel chairs around his back, put him through every table he can find...

Styles gets in the ring at this point, and continues, saying he’s gonna beat Dean until he can’t stand, and when he’s done, he’s got something special for Ellsworth. He dares James to show up, saying if he thinks his face is disfigured now, wait until AJ gets at him with tables, ladders, and chairs.

Dean says that championships are won and lost in the mind, and Styles is way too easy. He says AJ’s never been more rattled in his life (clearly he’s never seen the Claire Lynch saga), since he’s in a TLC match with Dean Ambrose and he’s worried about James Ellsworth. When it’s all said and done and the cobwebs clear, Dean says, AJ’s gonna look up and see him pulling the title off the hook.

AJ shoves Dean into Ellsworth and beats on the chinless wonder a second before heading out after Dean and dropping the steel steps on him. He gets back in the ring and Ellsworth is waiting, ready to fight, but Styles drops him with a boot to the gut and slams the ladder down on him. He throws Ellsworth to the mat but James gets hung up on the apron, and so AJ follows with the chair, knocking him down.

He’s got the Styles Clash set up on the floor but he thinks better and moves Ellsworth to the steps...STYLES CLASH OFF THE STEEL STEP TO THE FLOOR!

Referees check on James as we get a recap of the events that just occurred. When we cut back EMTs are putting him on stretcher as Dean Ambrose looks on in concern for his little buddy / mascot / possible butler, and we head back to break.

Back from commercial with a recap of the Styles Clash. Cut to backstage where Dean is walking with the EMTs as Ellsworth is loaded into the ambulance. He says it was his fault and they’ll fix it, and he gets in the ambulance to take James to the local medical facility.

Back in the arena, Kane makes his entrance, so that’s his match up next.

Kane vs. Luke Harper

They circle, collar and elbow, Kane shoves Harper to the mat. Luke ducks, grabs a side headlock, Kane shoots him off, Harper hits the shoulder block but Kane doesn’t budge. A second, same result, Kane ducks a lariat, off the ropes, his shoulder block drops Harper to the mat.

Right hands and a kick to the gut but Kane is defiant as Harper draws his imaginary bow back. Kane returns the taunt with a slash of his the throat and goes to lift Luke but Harper bails. Neck snap over the rope but Kane dumps Harper back outside and we go to break.

Back from commercial and Harper has a reverse chinlock on, Kane grounded. We get footage of a senton atomico from Luke during the break and in realtime Kane gets away with a jawbreaker. Goes for the chokeslam but Harper slips out and kicks his knee out of his knee and drops Kane with the big boot for two.

Kane off the ropes for the DDT, he follows it up with clubbing blows and a side slam for two. Stinger Splashes in opposing corners but he comes off the ropes into a Harper dropkick. Running back elbows in the corner into big right hands and Luke follows with mounted punches only to get powerbombed by Kane for a nearfall!

Kane with the goozle, Harper breaks away, Kane ducks a discus lariat but runs into the Truck Stop. Harper with a crossface but Kane lifts him up and drops him with a back suplex. Kane off the top but Luke dodges and fires a superkick that gets him a really close nearfall. Eyes wide he stares at the Devil’s Favorite Demon and heads to the top himself.

Kane cuts him off with a big slicing right hand and climbs to the second... superplex! They slug it out punch for punch for a moment, but Kane gets the upper hand...

Kane wins by pinfall with a chokeslam.

Commentary hypes up 205 Live and shill for the Network some before pivoting to promote the tag team #1 contender’s match, which is up next!

Back from commercial and Tom Phillips leads a recap of the contract signing that opened the show.

Renee Young is backstage asking Becky Lynch about her injuries. Becky says the doctor told her her spine is bruised but she’s not missing her title defense for anything. Alexa has apparently requested a tables match, and Becky says she’ll take her on in any match she wants, she just needs to get her hands on “that little bitch”.

Entrances are made for the tag match but we go to break before it actually begins.

Back from commercial just in time for the bell to ring!

American Alpha (Chad Gable & Jason Jordan) vs. the Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt & Randy Orton) (WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship #1 Contender’s Match)

.Jordan and Orton to start, Jason grabs a waistlock, standing switch, Jordan picks a leg, quick cover, back to the waistlock. Orton hits a back elbow and throws Jordan into the corner. Whip across, reversed, Jordan runs into a back elbow but hits a pair of deep arm drags and locks an armbar on as Beauty and Man-Beast watch backstage.

Tag to Bray, Jordan rolls him up and hits a waistlock takedown into a pin but neither do it. Struggle in the corner, tag to Gable, shoulder thrusts, tag to Jordan, whip into a double dropkick and Wyatt bails. He rips the cover off the announce table in a rage before collecting himself and heading back in the ring.

Kick to the gut, right hand, blocks a suplex, ducks a crossbody and Jordan gets hung up on the ropes. Tag to Randy, the Viper comes in with a kick to the chest and follows with a front suplex into the ropes for two. Garvin stomp into a reverse chinlock, grounding Jason. Jordan to a knee, desperate for the tag but Orton wheels him around. Side headlock, Orton shoots him off but the tag was made.

Gable in with a diving crossbody, double leg into mounted punches, struggling in the corner, ARMBREAKER IN THE ROPES! Chad up top and Bray knocks him down to the outside as we go to break.

Back from commercial and Bray is hitting a corner avalanche on Gable for two. He chucks Chad to the apron and looks to slug it out but Gable gets a few shots in on him. Bray with an apron DDT! Tag to Orton, the reverse chinlock is in but the Olympian soon struggles to his feet and hits a kick to the chest before getting caught with the snap scoop powerslam. Tag to Bray, who fires off a wicked headbutt before running the ropes into a dropkick.

Bray runs Jordan over before the tag and steamrolls Gable in the corner before hitting the big Rock Bottom for a nearfall. Big grounded haymakers and a tag to Orton follow. Randy sets Chad up top before staring at Jordan. He goes back over to Gable and they trade strikes. Looking for the superplex, Gable with a headbutt but the Viper crotches him on the turnbuckles and hits that picture perfect superplex!

Tags all round, Jordan like a house afire, huge overhead belly-to-belly suplexon Bray followed by a Saito suplex. Orton runs in and Jordan directs traffic, Gable hitting a cannonball off the apron on Randy! Wyatt runs Jason over and picks him up for the Rock Bottom but he fights out and hits a German suplex.

(Wyatt noise)

Harper’s in the aisle catching Jordan’s attention, Bray sets up Sister Abigail but Gable breaks it with a dropkick and sets up Grand Amplitude. Gable eats an RKO, Jordan tries to mount some offense with running shoulder thrusts in the corner but Harper is there to pull Bray out of the way...

The Wyatt Family win by pinfall with Sister Abigail from Bray on Jason Jordan, becoming #1 contenders to the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship.

The Wyatts celebrate in the ring as Bray exhorts us to follow the buzzards.

Beauty and the Man-Beast are interviewed about how they’re gonna prepare for the Wyatts. They say the Wyatts need to prepare for them when AJ rolls up and says who cares about that when the world champion is here. Slater tells him to cut it out and AJ and Rhyno get in each other’s faces when Dean Ambrose shows up!

He and AJ brawl around the room, over the couch, on tables, Dean just taking the champion to the woodshed, and that’s the show, folks.
