This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw opened with the Best Friends, Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho, explaining that Seth Rollins wasn’t medically cleared to be there. That meant Roman Reigns was left to interrupt them and, like Rollins last week, he got a match with Owens later in the evening. Only his match would be for the right to have another match for the Universal championship at Roadblock: End of the Line next month.
They had Owens and Jericho get into it, with the former wanting to prove he doesn’t need his best friend and the latter actually leaving the building because he was so upset about it all. He was attacked by Rollins on the way out.
That meant Reigns got Owens all to himself.
That meant Reigns pinned Owens in the middle of the ring after a spear. That means he’ll wrestle for the Universal title on Dec. 18, 2016, at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
