There was a time when WWE wanting Conor McGregor to appear on its programming was only being whispered about but the company isn’t even trying to hide their interest anymore. They want him because he’s “got it all,” according to Triple H himself.
But does he have any interest in doing it?
During an interview with the 5ive Rounds podcast, his agent made it clear they’ll at least listen to what WWE has to say:
"I think it's all about business, man. If [WWE] is going to come with an offer, we are willing to entertain it. We are here. Have their people call his people -- which is me. We can have a conversation."
"Again, I think ultimately Conor will say, 'Let me talk to my friend Benjamin [Franklin] to see how many of his friends he's bringing with him before we talk about what the obligations are.'"
If WWE will pay big money for a few Goldberg matches, why wouldn’t they pay McGregor, the biggest draw in all of mixed martial arts right now?
