When WWE had Goldberg squash Brock Lesnar in all of 90 seconds in the main event of Survivor Series this past Sunday night in Toronto, it got the pro wrestling world talking. It did not, however, get all that many more viewers watching.
Indeed, Monday Night Raw drew 3.00 million viewers this week. That’s up from 2.87 million last week but considering the show, it has to be something of a disappointment for the company.
They led with Goldberg announcing he would enter the Royal Rumble next year, and that’s when the most viewers were tuning in. Like usual, numbers went down throughout the night.
Hour one: 3.13 million
Hour two: 3.09 million
Hour three: 2.77 million
That’s a big drop for a third hour that featured a Seth Rollins vs. Kevin Owens Universal championship match. What will be interesting to see is if Goldberg sticking around for a while leads to any meaningful change in viewership.
