Goldberg said to have an open-ended, ‘big money deal’ with Vince McMahon

We know that Goldberg will follow-up his stunning upset of Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series with his second-ever appearance in the Royal Rumble match... but how much more of the 49 year old could we be getting in WWE?

According to the latest Wrestling Observer Radio (subscription required but recommended), as much as Vince McMahon wants and is willing to pay a lot of money for.

Dave Meltzer says Goldberg got a “real big money deal” with WWE for his 86 second win this past Sunday, Nov. 20 in Toronto on pay-per-view (PPV). Regarding the expanded deal he reportedly reached with Vince last week for working Royal Rumble on Jan. 29, 2017 in San Antonio and possibly beyond, the WCW legend is willing to wrestle as often as they ask him to - provided they match the amount they paid him for Survivor Series for each appearance.

One date the company is almost certainly eyeing is April 2, 2017, when WrestleMania 33 will take place in Orlando. Meltzer commented that WWE is thinking about doing Lesnar/Goldberg III on that card. He also joined in with the multitude of fans speculating the bout could be set up by having Brock get involved in Goldberg’s elimination from the Rumble.

So, not surprisingly, it appears how much more Goldberg we get is a function of how much business and attention each appearance garners for WWE. If people keep buzzing about his comeback, his comeback will keep going. If interest dies down, McMahon won’t keep writing big checks.

How long do you think the run lasts, Cagesiders?
