WWE SmackDown Live comes waltzing back into our lives tonight (Nov. 22, 2016) from the Canadian Tire Center in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, featuring the fallout show from the dual brand Survivor Series pay-per-view (PPV) that went down this past Sunday night in Toronto.

Advertised for tonight: The blue brand lost two of the three elimination matches but won the men's match, no thanks to Dean Ambrose. Undertaker said he was back but he is? Other stuff too!

Come right back here at 8 p.m. ET when the SmackDown live blog kicks off once the show starts on USA. It will be below this line here. (REMINDER: NO GIFS OR PICS ARE ALLOWED IN THE COMMENTS SECTION. OFFENDERS WILL BE BANNED.)

WWE SMACKDOWN RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR NOV. 22

Men without anguish, men without fear. Men chosen to ride the earth, evil confrontation nears... but me, I'm just here to liveblog a pro wrestling show, folks.

Show opens with a recap of Survivor Series focusing on the men's singles elimination match.

Shane McMahon makes an entrance. No shuffle dance, he's taking it easy tonight. He gets on the mic and asks to be excused for not being his normal energetic self because after that match, he feels like he was in a car accident. When you go to battle side-by-side with people and against others, he wants to shout out Team Raw for bringing their A-game.

He gives props to Roman for nearly separating him from his shoes, and he then thanks Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton. He thought they'd give the most trouble, but they came through, where AJ Styles and Dean Ambrose couldn't set aside their squabble.

Dean's entrance cuts him off, he says he knows Shane's a little banged up but it's a new day, the sun's shining, there's fresh snow on the ground, but most importantly SmackDown won, so what to complain about? Shane tells him he didn't know that powerbombing AJ Styles with his Shield buddies wouldn't cost them the match, and Ambrose tells him to focus on the positive before calling James Ellsworth out, calling him the MVP of Team SmackDown.

Ellsworth hobbles out in a neck brace. Ambrose elbows Shane about some big surprise he has for James but Shane wanted to keep it private. Dean needles him more and lets the cat out of the bag that the surprise is a contract for Ellsworth! Shane says because of his tenacity and the way he's bled blue, he's proud to offer him a SmackDown contract.

Shane then offers Dean the night off because he's been out of control, and Ambrose is down with that, offering to take McMahon out for wings. Shane says it's not just the night off, Dean needs to leave the building. Now. Dean rolls out of the ring to comply when AJ Styles' music hits. They pass each other and AJ gets on the mic, asking when the land of opportunity became the land of undeserved opportunity. After what Dean did to him at Survivor Series, he doesn't need the night off, he needs to be kicked off of SmackDown, the champ says.

He continues saying Dean doesn't deserve his title shot, and then he's incredulous about Ellsworth getting a SmackDown contract. Shane reiterates that Ellsworth deserves a contract, but AJ ripostes, saying Ellsworth doesn't deserve anything, and tells him that the contract is being given to him, and he's a charity case. Styles earned his contract through years of blood, sweat, etc., and if Ellsworth wants to deserve a contract, he'll wrestle AJ tonight. He needs a warmup match for TLC anyway, so let's make it a ladder match.

Climb the ladder and grab the contract and you've earned it, but it's not gonna happen because AJ's gonna climb the ladder and rip it up in front of James' ugly, pathetic face. Shane tells him he doesn't need to listen to him, but Ellsworth says he's got no problem wrestling AJ in a ladder match because he's beat him twice. But if he wins, he doesn't just want his full-time contract, he wants another title shot. Shane asks if he's sure, and Ellsworth says it's all or nothing.

Shane makes it official!

Cut to backstage with Miz and Maryse doing a photoshoot. Daniel Bryan rolls up and Miz tells him he's busy. Bryan insists and Miz wonders if this is his celebration for saving Bryan's hide as a careless general manager. Bryan says actually, you humiliated SmackDown because your wife cheated for you. Miz says he did what Bryan and Dolph Ziggler couldn't do, he defended his title at Survivor Series as a fighting champion.

Bryan says he does have something for him! It was a calculated risk, see, putting the IC belt on the line to get a shot at getting the cruiserweights on SmackDown. So he's got Miz a title defense against Kalisto tonight.

Commentary puts over the #1 contender's tag team turmoil match for later in the night and throw us to break.

Back from commercial and Dean and Shane are walking backstage bickering. Shane escorts Dean to the doors and Dean promises to bring him back some food.

Kalisto vs. the Miz (c) (WWE Intercontinental Championship)

Circling, collar and elbow, Miz gets a wristlock, Kalisto to the mat but he kips up, again and again, reversal, reversed again, Kalisto gets a cover for one. Lucha! taunt, Kalisto with a waistlock, Miz out with a backfist,Kalisto ducks a lariat, Miz dodges a kick. Low bridge takes Miz outside, Kalisto follows it up with a suicide dive and we go back to break.

Back from break and Miz is throwing kicks in the corner but Kalisto dodges the corner clothesline and gets an up-kick from the apron. Shoulder thrust, springboard seated senton, and a springboard tornillo gets two. Offer the ropes, looking for the headscissors driver, Miz blocks and reverses to a slingshot powerbomb, Kalisto reverses to a hurricanrana!

Off the ropes again... HEADSCISSORS DRIVER! NOT ENOUGH! Kalisto climbs the turnbuckles but jumps past Miz because Baron Corbin showed up! He knocks Corbin down off the apron but Miz takes advantage...

Miz wins by pinfall with the Skull Crushing Finale, retaining the Intercontinental Championship.

Corbin yells at Kalisto and hits him with a short-arm End of Days before telling him to go home and stay home.

Miz celebrates on the barricade but Dolph Ziggler comes up behind him and plants a superkick!

Shane and Bryan discuss how things are going out of control backstage and Bryan vows to take care of it. Alexa Bliss rolls up and Bryan tells Shane to handle it. Alexa asks about her rematch but before Shane can answer, Becky Lynch comes up to tell her straight (fire) that she'll get her rematch in two weeks at TLC.

Natalya comes up, blowing her whistle, and tells Becky that she stayed up all night with 2 Pawz watching the match over and came to the conclusion that their loss was all Becky's fault. She's threatened by Alexa and was distracted. Bliss, naturally, agrees, but Becky defends herself, when Shane tells them they're all to blame and they don't know who attacked Nikki Bella.

He says if Nattie thinks so much of herself, she can prove it by beating Becky Lynch tonight. She quotes song lyrics at Becky obliviously and Dean Ambrose rolls up with a pizza. Shane reminds him that he was asked to leave and shows him the door again. Becky says she'll see Dean later after she takes a pizza Nattie's arm.

A video package for WrestleMania ticket sales follows, and we're informed the tag team turmoil is up next, after the break.

Back from commercial and Baron Corbin's taking a walk backstage when he runs into Daniel Bryan. Bryan doesn't have a problem with him trying to make a name for himself, but what he's doing is reckless and stupid, and he doesn't see the bigger picture. Corbin says he is the bigger picture. Bryan tells him actions have consequences, and tonight he'll wrestle a close, personal friend of Bryan's-- Kane.

American Alpha (Chad Gable & Jason Jordan) vs. Breezango (Fandango & Tyler Breeze) vs. Hype Bros (Mojo Rawley & Zack Ryder) vs. the Ascension (Konnor & Viktor) vs. the Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) vs. Vaudevillains (Aiden English & Simon Gotch) (WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship #1 Contender's Tag Team Turmoil Match)

Hype Bros and Ascension start, the space vampires putting boots to the hyped ones. Ryder and Viktor end up legal, Zack comes off the ropes and Viktor just shoves him over the ropes. Tag to Konnor, who takes it Ryder outside before dragging him back in for a two count. Viktor back in, big chop and a stomp before he grinds his forearm into Zack's face.

Tag to Konnor, he drops Zack with a right and tags Viktor back in for a double suplex but Zack lands on his feet and turns it into a double neckbreaker! Mojo in, he knocks Konnor out...

Hype Bros eliminate the Ascension by pinfall with a Hype Ryder on Viktor.

Breezango out now, they get dumped like it's the rumble and eat an assisted tope con giro courtesy of Ryder to send us to break.

Back from commercial and Mojo tags Ryder in against Tyler Breeze. Zack with a missile dropkick off the second, calls for the Broski Boot but Fandango pulls Breeze out of the way. Catapult into a forearm...

Breezango eliminate Hype Bros by pinfall with a slingshot elbow drop from Fandango on Zack Ryder.

American Alpha out next, Fandango nearly gets a pin on Chad Gable out the gate. Fandango sets Gable up on the ropes and tags Breeze in for double kicks. Tag to Fandango, they try the same thing they did to eliminate Hype Bros but Gable is ready...

American Alpha eliminate Breezango by pinfall with a rana pin from Chad Gable on Fandango.

Vaudevillains come in and American Alpha make short work of them, suplexing them around...

American Alpha eliminate Vaudevillains by pinfall with a bridging German suplex from Jason Jordan.

The Usos come down, taking their time to get to the ring. Jimmy starts against Chad, collar and elbow, Gable shoves him off into his corner and we go back to break.

Back from commercial and Jason Jordan is in pain on the outside as Jimmy Uso sets him up on the apron. We see footage from the break of Jordan getting superkicked to the outside and come back for him to eat a headbutt and get grounded with a reverse chinlock. A knee cuts off a tag and Jey comes back in for a double back suplex that gets two.

Off the ropes for a knee strike and back to the reverse chinlock, Jordan to his knees but Jey gets him in the corner and makes the tag again. Leaping forearm from Jimmy for two, he follows with clubbing overhead elbows to the shoulder. Hard chop buckles Jason into the corner, tag to Jey again, superkick to the gut for two. Rear chinlock is in but Jordan fights to his feet.

Big right hand and a tag to Jimmy, going for the double suplex but Jordan lands on his feet! He dodges charges from both Usos and gets the tag! Gable in with fists and dropkicks, overhead belly-to-belly suplex into mounted punches and a diving lariat! Bridging German suplex gets a nearfall, Jimmy bails. Gable follows but gets distracted by Jey and sent into the ringpost by Jimmy.

Back in the ring Gable keeps punching but a blind tag gives way to a backbreaker / diving splash combo for a nearfall for the Usos. Fireman's carry escaped, tag to Jordan, Jey with mounted punches on Gable when Jason catches him into an electric chair, Gable off the top with a bulldog... Jimmy breaks the pin up! Jason is preoccupied dumping Jimmy and gets caught by a superkick from Jey, diving splash... KNEES UP! Small package, Jey kicks out!

Both men out on the mat, struggling. Tag to Gable but Jimmy pulls him off the apron for a big right. Chop block on Jordan, but Gable comes in to keep the Usos from finishing the deal...

American Alpha win last eliminating the Usos by pinfall with Grand Amplitude on Jey Uso, becoming #1 contenders to the SmackDown Tag Team Championship.

(Wyatt noise)

The Family comes onscreen and Bray says not to hold your breath, because they haven't faced all the tag teams yet. Randy adds that they're not just a team, they're a family, and Bray tells them to get ready to face him and Orton next week.

Bryan and Ellsworth are backstage, Bryan wants to make sure James is good to go. Ellsworth says even his bruises have bruises, and AJ has more talent in his pinkie than he has in his entire body, but the one thing he's learned in WWE is that anything can happen, and any man with two hands has a fighting chance. So maybe any man with two feet can climb a ladder and make a childhood dream happen.

Dean Ambrose rolls up dressed like a mountie, because sure. Bryan says if Shane sees him he'll freak out, and Shane sees him and freaks out. Shane calls Dean disrespectful and insubordinate and asks what Dean has to say for himself. Dean agrees to leave but asks if Shane doesn't want to know why he's dressed as a Mountie. Shane is not interested despite Dean's protestation that it's a hell of a story. Shane says he's going home as soon as Dean leaves, and leaves himself.

Bryan is curious, though, and Dean says isn't it obvious? He then asks Bryan to communicate a message to AJ-- the Mountie always gets his man.

We go to break on an ad for 205 Live's debut next week.

Back from commercial and Daniel Bryan is on the phone when Miz rolls up with Maryse holding an ice pack to his face. He wants Dolph suspended for superkicking him for "no reason", but thinks Bryan will just reward Dolph with a title shot. Bryan says he is, but because he's owed a contractual rematch. Miz says this will be the last time, and Bryan agrees, after this, they go their separate ways. But to make it even better, it's gonna be a ladder match. Miz says the name of his finish and walks off.

In the locker room, Carmella is on her phone when Nikki Bella shows up to accuse her of attacking her at Survivor Series. Carmella protests that she didn't do it and suggests that maybe it was Charlotte Flair, Dana Brooke, have the staff at the E! Network, or one of the other countless enemies Nikki has made. Cena might be hustle, loyalty, respect, but Nikki is no Mother Teresa.

Nikki says she was talking to Bryan about it and it's official, at TLC, it's Nikki Bella vs. Carmella in a no disqualification match!

In the arena proper, Kane makes his entrance for his match against Baron Corbin. Corbin comes out as well but we go to break before it can begin.

Back from commercial in time for the match to begin.

Baron Corbin vs. Kane

Kane with a goozle right away, Corbin fights out, off the ropes, Kane with a big boot. Corbin with a right hand, forces Kane in the corner and punishes him. Big right knocks Corbin down, whip in the corner, forearm, whip across, Corbin with the boot up. Corbin charges, Kane shoves him so he goes outside, Corbin shoves Kane off the apron but Kalisto comes in with a dropkick...

Baron Corbin wins by disqualification.

Kalisto hammers Corbin with kicks and Kane shortly after catches Baron with a chokeslam. Kalisto stands over Corbin's fallen body and hesitates a moment while referee Jason Ayers checks on the big man. Kalisto gets a chair and heads in the ring but Corbin wakes up and rolls out. Kalisto yells at Corbin to get back in and he obliges only to eat a Van Daminator!

Commentary puts the ladder match main event over one last time and throws us to break on an ad for TLC.

Back from commercial and Ellsworth is in the ring already, still wearing the neck brace.

AJ Styles vs. James Ellsworth (SmackDown Contract Ladder Match)

The bell rings and AJ offers Ellsworth the first shot but ducks every time he tries to hit him. The champion rips the brace off his neck and boots him to the outside before going and collecting a ladder from the other side of the ring. Ellsworth grabs the other end of the ladder as AJ is going to pull it in the ring but just gets yanked into the apron for his trouble.

AJ sets the ladder up and climbs, Ellsworth grabbing his boot about halfway up. The champ steps down and rips James' shirt off before hitting a backbreaker and yanking Ellsworth's back brace off. Styles hangs him in the ladder of woe and fires a kick off before pinning him under the ladder and slapping him for good measure. AJ climbs again, using Ellsworth as the bottom step, but Dean Ambrose shows up dressed as the Goon this time.

He clotheslines AJ to the outside and wakes Ellsworth up, exhorting him to climb the ladder (and presumably make himself famous). AJ comes off the ropes with a Phenomenal Forearm on Ambrose before climbing again... ELLSWORTH TIPS THE LADDER OVER! AJ is outside! Ellsworth sets the ladder up again but AJ is back in before he can start climbing... Superkick! AJ is caught in the ropes!

James Ellsworth retrieves his SmackDown contract and earns himself a future WWE World Championship title shot.

Dean celebrates with Ellsworth as AJ looks on, shocked.

That's the show, folks.
