Report: Goldberg signed WWE deal to appear in Royal Rumble before Survivor Series match with Brock Lesnar

WWE.com

Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that earlier this week, Goldberg signed a deal to appear in the Royal Rumble match this January.

That could be the reason why Goldberg won in a squash fashion against the previously dominant Brock Lesnar tonight (Nov. 20, 2016) at Survivor Series. It could play into a story down the road and it would make sure he looked good with another appearance in the future. If he had a sloppy match tonight, interest later on could be lessened.

With the word that he’ll not just be at the show but in the Rumble (everything is subject to change this far out of course) that could hint at the possibility that he’ll be around for WrestleMania, even if he doesn’t win.

While we don’t know how we’ll get there, apparently this wasn’t Goldberg’s last hurrah in WWE. It looks like that wasn’t his last badass spear or devastating jackhammer after all. Whether or not Brock Lesnar will have been last, we’ll have to wait and find out.
