The Miz won the Intercontinental championship from Dolph Ziggler on SmackDown Live last week. That meant he would defend it against Sami Zayn at tonight’s (Sun., Nov. 20, 2016) Survivor Series pay-per-view (PPV) at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
The winner would, of course, keep the title for their brand, be it Miz on SmackDown Live or Zayn on Monday Night Raw.
It was your standard match featuring the likes of Miz and Zayn, including some cool spots like this:

Late in the match, Zayn survived a prolonged battle in the Figure Four before locking on one of his own. Miz couldn’t escape but instead of allowing him to tap and lose the title, Maryse rang the bell and Zayn let go, thinking he’d won. The referee told Zayn he wasn’t the winner, then counted him down when Miz rolled him up.
Yes, that was the finish. Miz is still your Intercontinental champion, and it will stay on the blue brand.
