James Ellsworth confirms he’s been given a WWE contract

Twitter

His journey from Braun Strowman victim to being a part of SmackDown’s top storyline (and their most high profile match at Survivor Series) looks to be complete. At a Big Time Wrestling show in Altoona, Pennsylvania last night (Nov. 18), James Ellsworth got on a microphone to confirm what was being reported earlier in the week - he’s a contracted WWE Superstar.

Wrestling Inc. posted video of his promo, where he said:

I’ve been coming to Western Pennsylvania for almost 15 years. And this past Summer on July 25th, I had my first WWE match at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. And something very special happened that night, against Braun Strowman, as many of you guys know. And I was never supposed to be seen on WWE television again. But thanks to you guys they kept bringing me back. So they called me back week after week after week... I didn’t know what was going on, I wasn’t under contract, but because of you guys, they kept on bringing me back every week on SmackDown Live.

So it’s fitting that I officially announce right here in Western Pennsylvania where this WWE journey started... that I have officially been given a WWE contract.

I really want to thank, from the bottom of my heart, not only you guys but anybody who’s gonna watch this on social media around the world. From the kid who’s been wanting to do this since I was five years old, you’ve all made my dream come true - THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

And remember whenever you have a dream you want to come true - ANY MAN WITH TWO HANDS HAS A FIGHT CHANCE!

Congratulations to Team Blue’s mascot!

Excited he’s officially in the WWE fold, Cagesiders?
