Total Divas had its sixth season premiere last night (Nov. 16, 2016) on the E! channel with the debut of new cast members like Renee Young, Lana, and Maryse. It was a good show, relative to past episodes, but it didn’t bring in anywhere near the viewers of past season premieres.
This one drew just 724,000 viewers. Here’s how that compares to the debut episode of every other season so far:
Season 1: 1.34 million
Season 2: 1.07 million
Season 3: 1.20 million
Season 4: 970,000
Season 5: 1.12 million
Season 6: 724,000
Total Bellas was drawing similar numbers throughout its first season and it was just renewed, so perhaps the E! channel is satisfied with that return but there’s no denying the show has nearly cut its viewership in half since it first arrived years ago.
