Mick Foley confirms Vader’s diagnosis, lobbies for him to be in WWE Hall of Fame

Late last night (Nov. 14), wrestling legend Vader (real name Leon White) Tweeted some grim news. According to White, two different doctors diagnosed him with a heart condition so severe it will likely end his life within two years.

Raw General Manager Mick Foley posted the following on his Facebook page this morning, revealing he’s been speaking to White recently about his health... and using the news as a rallying cry to get Vader in WWE’s Hall of Fame at the per-WrestleMania 33 induction ceremony this coming Spring.

IT'S TIME...TO PUT VADER IN THE HALL OF FAME I have been talking with Leon White the past few weeks, so I knew the news...

Honoring White with his contemporaries like Sting, Ric Flair and Stan Hansen is honestly long overdue, and should be an easy decision. However, seeing as one of Vader’s Tweets last night pointed to his wrestling career as a root cause of his terminal diagnosis, that might be a problem for Vince McMahon’s public relations and legal teams.

Luckily, regardless of how those things play or what WWE the corporation decides, wrestling fans can honor and express their gratitude to Big Van whenever and wherever... for however much time we have left.
