Dolph Ziggler is looking for some inter-brand competition.
Tonight (Nov. 1, 2016) on SmackDown from Newark, NJ, after making quick work of Curt Hawkins, the Intercontinental champ issued a challenge. He made a point that Survivor Series is the one night that Raw faces against SmackDown and on that night. Because of that, he’ll hold an open challenge for his Intercontinental championship at the pay-per-view.
The Miz, who was watching at ringside, was not happy. He declined a rematch for the title he lost when Ziggler offered it last week, saying he’ll do it in his own terms. Now he may very well have to wait until after Survivor Series.
Open challenges are often fun just for the guessing of who is going to step up and answer. There’s plenty of talent on Raw who could accept. Guys like Sheamus, Cesaro, Rusev, Neville, and Sami Zayn are just a few who could step up to the Show Off.
Of course it’s a risky proposition because if Ziggler loses, SmackDown loses their secondary title. We’ll see if Commissioner Shane McMahon or General Manager Daniel Bryan have any issues with the Show Off’s big risk.
Who would you like to see Dolph face from the Raw roster?
