Alexa Bliss was supposed to get a shot at Becky Lynch and the SmackDown women’s championship at tonight’s (Sun., Oct. 9, 2016) No Mercy pay-per-view (PPV) at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California. Sadly, the champ is going through some sort of health issue and said title match has been postponed until Nov. 8 in Glasgow.
Bliss didn’t get the night off, however, as she was made to wrestle Naomi.
She cut a promo beforehand, calling out Becky for having a “medical condition” that must have been a hangnail, or her ridiculous red hair falling out of her head. Then she said no one in the locker room can touch her, which is when Naomi answered the call.
And then went out and won the match.
Seriously.
Alexa was a vicious heel throughout the match and it looked like she would win easy. Then Naomi reversed an armbar submission attempt and stacked Bliss up to score a surprise pinfall victory.
Bliss responded by throwing a tantrum in the ring.
