WWE No Mercy 2016 results: Nikki Bella beats Carmella

@WWE

WWE led off its No Mercy pay-per-view (PPV) tonight (Sun., Oct. 9, 2016) at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California with the WWE world title triple threat match to avoid the Presidential debate. They got around 30 minutes to work with but the next match on the card would be equally important to see if fans would want to stick around or go watch Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton argue at each other.

WWE went with Nikki Bella vs. Carmella.

The story going into this one was Carmella spent every waking moment trying to beat up Nikki over the past few weeks, really since the better half of the Bella twins returned at SummerSlam. The match here mirrored that.

Nikki was aggressive in her early attempts at delivering comeuppance but Carmella took advantage to gain control. They did some great reversals late, with Nikki turning the Code of Silence into an Alabama Slam attempt that Carmella rolled through for a pin attempt that Nikki rolled through. The fans weren’t exactly thrilled by it, but it was good!

Carmella got pissed she couldn’t put Nikki away and Bella took advantage, hitting her new finish, the fireman’s carry cutter, to score the pinfall victory.
