Although he was drafted to Monday Night Raw back on July 19, Big Show still hasn’t actually appeared on the show. He’s worked plenty of house shows and done promotional work for WWE but he doesn’t currently have a storyline on television.
He told Games Radar why:
“They don’t need me right now. They’re building Baron Corbin, Big Cass, Braun Strowman. Hopefully they’ll give Erick Rowan a chance because I’m a big fan of his. I’ve done everything I can do, and I have a big WrestleMania spot with Shaq coming up, so I’m sure in January we’ll kick that off and I’ll be back on TV more. For now they’re using me like they should: as an attraction.”
He’s not going to get his wish on Rowan, at least not anytime soon, but otherwise the big men who could take his place are all in relatively good shape. And, really, good on Show for stepping back when the time came and giving other stars the chance to shine.
You know, except for on the biggest stage when he has that match with Shaq.
