Usos point to fan reaction to Roman Reigns as justification for their heel turn

This week’s Michael Cole sitdown interview from WWE.com and the company’s YouTube channel is a bit of a weird one.

For one thing, it’s the Raw announcer talking to a couple of SmackDown Live Superstars. But Cole and Jimmy & Jey Uso have history, so it’s all good.

You can usually tell from the runtime of these how good they are, and clocking in at four-and-half minutes is a clue this one isn’t essential. The Usos get across their new attitude... in fact, they ooze edgy charisma. But when they’re called upon to explain their turn? Well, let’s just say there’s a reason they don’t do a lot of promos.

They’ve targeted American Alpha because it’s a dog eat dog world. Getting booed when they saved their cousin, Roman Reigns, a few times inspired their new attitude, but they just sort of state that and leave you to connect the psychological dots. Their father, Rikishi, might not approve of their actions, but he has their back, and they will beat Heath Slater & Rhyno on Sunday.

Oh, and pride. They say “pride” a lot.

Check it out. And tune in Sunday to see Jimmy & Jey do what they do best at No Mercy.
