Brie Bella still has the itch to wrestle

NBA: Minnesota Timberwolves at Phoenix Suns Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

When Brie Bella elected to leave WWE after WrestleMania 32 back in April, her sister, Nikki, was out injured rehabbing after neck surgery and her husband, Daniel Bryan, had been forced to retire over concussion issues. Fast forward to today and Nikki is back working a full schedule on SmackDown Live where Bryan is also back working as the General Manager of the show.

Brie, meanwhile, is still on the sidelines, working on other ventures (including Total Bellas/Total Divas) while maintaining her desire to become a mother. That said, she told Fansided in a recent interview she’s still got the itch to wrestle again:

“The retirement at WrestleMania 32 was a bittersweet moment for me. I was excited to see the next chapter of my life, which is becoming a mother, but at the same time it was a very historical moment. It was a big part of what the Women’s Division has been striving and fighting for. But never say never, I can definitely get in that ring again and I would love to in the future.

“I still have that itch and even more now that I’m watching as a fan. Sitting at home watching RAW or SmackDown and saying, “Oh I can be there.” But it’s fun to watch at home, seeing all the women do so great and it makes me so proud. I love that this division is so good.”

A women’s title match literally just headlined Monday Night Raw this week, and SmackDown Live frequently features its female talent in top spots. There’s never been a better time to be a woman on the WWE roster.

Sorry, Brie!

Anyone have any real desire to see her back?
