WWE HELL IN A CELL LIVE BLOG & MATCH COVERAGE
Abandon all hope, who enter here. Enter the gates, Charon awaits. Me, I'm just here to liveblog a pro wrestling show, folks.
Pre-show kicks off with Renee Young welcoming us to the show and introducing the panel of Booker T, Jerry "the King" Lawler, & Lita. They put over tonight's triple main event, as well as the special value that subscribing to the Network tonight provides, giving you TakeOver: Toronto and Survivor Series in addition to Hell in a Cell.
Cut backstage to Tom Phillips in the Social Media Lounge. New Day will join him for a Q&A later, and he tosses back to the panel for discussion of the United States Championship match, complete with video package.
Bayley comes out next for discussion of her match against Dana Brooke tonight. She says that Dana, as Charlotte's lapdog, has been after her since she debuted and that tonight is about revenge. Bayley's here to be at the top, to win the Women's Championship, and that beating Dana starts her off on that road. Booker asks her about the genesis of the tube men and she takes credit, and then she puts over how big a deal Sasha and Charlotte's match is tonight and claims that no matter who wins, she's going to be after them for the title.
Discussion and recap for Realest Guys vs. the Club follows.
Video package for the Universal Championship match by way of the Kevin Owens Show now, narrated by Chris Jericho. Panel discussion follows.
Cut to a house ad for the Network and we come back to TJ Perkins stretching in the locker room. Brian Kendrick rolls up and reminds him of their talk on Monday and how much this means to him. TJP says they represent the whole cruiserweight division, and the kids playing WWE 2K17 creating wrestlers they'll someday be. Kendrick promises it could be like old times and reminds him of how much he helped him. TJ tells him to forget about the past, he'll always be a friend. Kendrick keeps up the sob story and TJ cuts him off telling him to be the Kendrick he used to be and go out there and win the damn thing, at which point Kendrick reiterates that he needs TJ to let him win.
Rich Swann's at the table now. He says there were 32 dudes in the Cruiserweight Classic bustin' their butts to win and he thinks that Kendrick asking for the title to be handed to him is disrespectful. He thinks Kendrick lacks confidence and feels like he has to beg and cry, and then points out that he beat Kendrick on Monday and maybe he's just lost a step. He says there ain't no party like a Rich Swann party because a Rich Swann party don't stop. Renee asks for dancing tips and he tells her she can't handle it. They play his theme music and he busts a move. Booker and Renee join in but Booker stops Renee, fearful she'll give Lawler another heart attack.
Ariya Daivari, Drew Gulak, & Tony Nese vs. Cedric Alexander, Lince Dorado, & Sin Cara
Cara and Nese to start, collar-and-elbow, Nese grabs a headlock, Sin shoots him off and gets dropped by a shoulder. Drop-down, leapfrog, roll, Sin Cara scores with an arm drag but Nese gets boots up when he charges in. Cara catches a crossbody and turns it into a backbreaker and scores a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker on Gulak and then Daivari when they come in. Daivari gets two with a neckbreaker (must have got a tag in there) and grounds Sin Cara with a rear chinlock.
Sin to his feet, Daivari whips him off, quebrada! Nese back in along with Lince. Crossbody, headscissors, cartwheel back elbow and a spinning heel kick, the cat man is on a roll, mrow! Shooting star press gets a nearfall, Gulak breaks it up. Alexander and Cara take Gulak and Daivari to the outside, Nese deadlifts Dorado and gourdbusters him over the ropes and to the outside to take us to the KFC ad.
Back from our break and Daivari gets a nearfall on Dorado. Dorado fights back with punches and slaps, whip, reversed, Daivari gets two with a jumping knee strike and goes to town on the leg before tagging Gulak in. Gulak grabs an inverted cloverleaf and traps an arm a moment before turning it into an inverted Indian deathlock and falling back on the leg several times. He drags Lince in the corner and Nese takes in with a stomp to the chest. Dorado fires back with hands, Nese whips him and trips him low before following up with an outside-in triangle moonsault!
Back in the corner, tag to Gulak, who comes in with a boot. Dorado with a jawbreaker and a hurricanrana that gets two, tag to Cedric! He comes in hot with a wicked back elbow and the handspring gamengiri... TRIPLE DIVE! Suicide dive from Cara, tope con giros from the other two! Cedric springboards in but Gulak dodges and locks the Gu-Lock in! Dorado breaks it with a dive, Daivari attacks him, deadlift one-arm powerbomb from Cara, Tony Nese with a pumphandle slam, Gulak reverses into a pin on Alexander but it's not enough! Cedric gets him up...
Cedric Alexander, Lince Dorado, & Sin Cara win by pinfall with a Lumbar Check from Cedric Alexander on Drew Gulak.
New Day are in the social media lounge. Someone asks what makes them so strong and Xavier flexes. Somebody then asks Xavier his favorite game and what new game he's looking forward to, which is Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, and he's looking forward to everything. They then accuse Tom Phillips of bluffing for reasons that I'm not quite sure of. Someone asks how they're going to beat Cesaro and Sheamus, to which Kofi replies "By pinfall or submission" and E alleges that Tom sent that question in himself from a "dummy" account. Somebody asks how they pick which of them defend the title, and they claim that's classified tag team strategy they can't give away. Big E reminisces about the days of the five count back in NXT and they mock Tom's fashion sense.
Panel discussion of the tag title match follows.
Women's Championship video package up now, and panel discussion of the same. The Women's Championship match gets the historic honor of being Booker's Shucky Ducky Quack Quack moment of the night.
Thus endeth the kickoff.
Main show begins with a video in the same vein as the Ouija board ads for the show.
Roman Reigns (c) vs. Rusev (WWE United States Championship Hell in a Cell Match)
Circling tentatively at first, Rusev fires a right, Roman blocks and comes back with one of his own! Tries to throw Rusev into the corner but the Bulgarian blocks and presses hard, throwing hands and backing Reigns in the corner. Roman with hands of his own, Rusev with a big back elbow and then sends Reigns outside. Rusev tries to ram Roman into the cage but Roman blocks, then the opposite.
Back in the ring, Rusev with a cross chop to the throat, then pushing Reigns into the corner with fists. Off the ropes, Roman dodges and comes off with a lariat of his own. Whip, reversal, Rusev with a wicked roundhouse right to the ribs but Roman sends him to the outside in response and chucks him into the wall of the Cell. Roman follows up with another toss into the cage wall. A guy in the front row begs for another and Roman is only happy to oblige, leaving Rusev on the mats, gasping for air.
Rusev rakes the eyes and starts throwing punches, but when he tries to whip Roman, he reverses and sends Rusev into the steel steps. Roman attempts to introduce a table to the proceedings but Rusev throws him into the cage to block before following up with a corner avalanche that traps Roman against the Cell. Whip into the ringpost and Rusev grinds Roman's face into the bare steel wire of the Cell. Face-first into the ringpost goes Reigns and Rusev follows up with a cover but Roman's not done.
Stomp to the back and to the chest against the ropes. Rusev is bleeding from the upper arm now. Roman gets back into with kicks but a whip goes south and Rusev sends him into the turnbuckles. Corner avalanche, whip, corner avalanche, whip, but Reigns ducks the third! Hip toss from Rusev and Roman rolls away from the followup diving headbutt. Corner lariats from Roman now, punctuated by a mafia kick. Calling for the Superman Punch and Rusev bails, Roman looking for the Drive-By but Rusev drops him with a lariat!
Reigns whipped shoulder-first into the steps now, Rusev hesitates a moment, planning. Whip into the cage wall and Rusev grabs the top step and clobbers Roman with it. A second shot from the steps and Rusev throws them into the ring. Right hand from Rusev back in the ring, and he sets the steps on top of the turnbuckles. He goes to throw Roman into the steps again but Roman blocks and fires rights, including a clothesline that sends Rusev outside. Slingshot dropkick sends Rusev into the Cell and the crowd chants for the table.
Roman's arm is bugging him and he can't capitalize, nor can he stop Rusev from Lawn Darting him into the cage wall. Rusev gets a kendo stick out but Roman connects with the Drive-By and takes it for himself! Kendo stick shots rain down on Rusev's back and he turns around into yet more to the chest, leaving him gasping in pain. Reigns grabs a reverse chinlock to throw Rusev back in the ring but Rusev crotches him on the middle rope as he tries to get in.
Rusev ties Roman up in the ropes old-school style and beats on him with the kendo stick. Rusev off the ropes but Roman breaks free for a jumping lariat that gets two! They trade punches, staggering, and Rusev wins the exchange, forcing Roman to his knees. Off the ropes but Reigns catches him with a fireman's carry into a punch (Money Clip!) and lands the Superman Punch shortly thereafter for a nearfall. Roman calls for the spear as Rusev staggers to his feet but Rusev is ready to meet him with a thrust kick before throwing him face-first into the steps! Not enough!
Rusev rolls Roman over, clearly thinking Accolade. The stomp lays in and it's locked on! But Roman's firing up and he crawls towards the ropes. Rusev breaks the hold and goes to lock it back on but Reigns slips out and runs the ropes right into a brutal roundhouse kick that sends him careening outside! Rusev goes under the ring for plunder and comes back out with a steel chain, wrapping it around his hand. He telegraphs the punch too strongly and Roman gets ahead of him with one of his own and a whole series of them.
Back in the ring, Rusev lands chain punches to the gut and the back, knocking Reigns to the mat and whipping him with the chain. Rusev heads back outside to get the bottom step, pushing it into the ring, where he sets it on its side. Roman comes back with hands and headbutts but Rusev is able to slam him into the steps and whip him off them, catching him with a thrust kick on the rebound. He sets Reigns on the steps and grabs the chain, locking the Accolade in on the steps with the chain across Roman's mouth. Reigns is fighting it hard, firing up and forcing Rusev to reposition, losing the chain... Samoan drop on the steps! He lies in wait as Rusev gets to his feet on the steps...
Roman Reigns wins by pinfall with a spear, retaining the WWE United States Championship.
Commentary recaps the Universal Championship feud and toss to Tom Phillips backstage, interviewing the champion. Kevin Owens disputes the idea that Seth Rollins won on Monday, seeing as how he got beaten down, wrecked, broken. But sure, he technically won the match, good for him. But since Seth spent the night writhing in pain, curled up in a ball, he won't call him a winner. It took John Cena weeks to come back from an apron powerbomb, so if Seth wants to disregard doctor's advice and get in Hell in a Cell with him, proving that he's the man he says he is, well, it ain't gonna happen. They're going to make the war Rusev and Roman had just now look like a cakewalk.
He reiterates that winner will not be a word you can use to describe Rollins after tonight, whereas Kevin Owens will still be Universal Champion and, indeed, the man.
Bayley vs. Dana Brooke
Dana pats Bayley's head and gets a shove in return. Waistlocks exchanged, Bayley with a side headlock into another waistlock, Dana escapes and throws her to the mat before flexing. Bayley rams her face-first into each of the turnbuckles, top to bottom, before hitting a running dropkick for two. Brooke sends Bayley into the corner, which only earns her the corner arm drag, but when Bayley shoots across for a follow-up, Dana catches her and throws her arm-first into the top turnbuckle, and follows it with a kick to the bad shoulder.
Double wristlock choke in the corner, handstand choke as referee Shawn Bennett counts, then a lariat gets two. Dana wrenches Bayley's head back against the ropes before doing the same with the bad arm. Bayley fights back with a kick but Dana wrenches her arm over the rope and then lays knees into it against the mat and locks the bow-and-arrow in.
Hammerlock into the ropes is followed by shoulder-thrusts in the corner, and when she goes for the handstand choke Bayley kicks her away and follows with a low dropkick. Brooke sends her in the corner, Bayley evades to the apron but Dana drops her with a forearm. Bayley blocks the followup but Dana breaks her arm over the top rope. Bayley manages to get some breathing space with a stunner over the ropes and fires forearms with her good arm, and double axehandles.
Tube man elbow, straight suplex, sliding lariat, Bayley goes to the second for the corkscrew elbow, but when she goes for the Bayley-to-belly, Dana's able to block the first attempt by targeting the back arm, but...
Bayley wins by pinfall with the Bayley-to-belly.
Mick Foley and Stephanie McMahon are backstage talking about how well the show has gone so far. They say they'll annihilate SmackDown at Survivor Series and hype Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg when Chris Jericho rolls up. He says they should put real thought and effort into who they put on their teams at Survivor Series, talking about all of the fine choices that SmackDown could make. Mick asks him if he has a point and Jericho puts him on the List for interrupting him.
Jericho continues, directing his advice at Steph, saying they should choose him and Kevin Owens to represent them in the men's Survivor Series match as co-captains of Team Raw. Foley says that's great, but step one is making sure Owens makes it out of Hell in a Cell in one piece.
Enzo & Big Cass come out, they do the deal. Enzo runs down the Club, calling them "Andy and the Big Gal", and saying he's been with women bigger than Gallows (Isis the Amazon?!), and Cass adds that big girls don't cry, but they need loving too, and explains Enzo's whole joke. Enzo says the Club are like Times New Roman, as generic as it gets, and says that Anderson is like a fork? And they don't need utensils? Cass says they don't mind flipping the bird, and calls Gallows a sloppy jalopy, and says he's gonna go yard upside his head like he's Big Papi, which pops the crowd.
Enzo says it's Hell in a Cell, not Toy Story, but he has a feeling that when the night's over, he's gonna have to call Cass Woody, because he's going to have "Andy" tattooed on the bottom of his foot. They're here to give the Club an everlasting Bean Town beatdown, and they finish the deal by spelling, as always.
Enzo & Big Cass vs. the Club (Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows)
Enzo and Anderson start, Karl kicking him in the gut and throwing right hands before whipping him. Enzo ducks and lands a crossbody into grounded punches and whips Machine Gun in the corner before tagging Cass in. Cass takes Anderson to a neutral corner and wails on him before tagging again. Enzo taunts Gallows and Cass throws his buddy into him.
The Club end up on the outside and Cass press slams Enzo onto them! Enzo throws Anderson back in the ring but Anderson bails out the other side and makes the tag. Enzo ducks a lariat from Anderson on the outside but runs into one from Gallows and the good brother takes him back inside and drops him with a big right hand. Enzo in the tree of woe and Gallows hits a dropkick. Straight suplex gets two and Luke locks a reverse chinlock on. Enzo to his feet, Gallows with a knee and Snake Eyes.
Tag to Anderson, he gets two with the bicycle kick in the corner. Karl sets him up top for corner punches and a superplex but Enzo blocks with body blows and sends Anderson to the mat before following with a diving DDT! Tags made, Cass runs over both men and drops Gallows with a boot before bringing Anderson in and wailing on him in the corner. Stinger splashes coast-to-coast and he drops Anderson off the apron with a mafia kick. Ducks a kick from Gallows, body slam into the Empire Elbow and then a fallaway slam but Gallows low bridges him.
Tag from Enzo, diving crossbody on Anderson, ducks a lariat from Gallows and flurries body blows before throwing jabs and a big windup punch that drops Gallows to one knee. Gallows cuts him of with a kick, though...
The Club win by pinfall with a Magic Killer on Enzo Amore.
A video package for the More Than Pink campaign follows.
Kevin Owens (c) vs. Seth Rollins (WWE Universal Championship Hell in a Cell Match)
KO immediately bails and goes looking for plunder but Seth kicks him and throws hands. Owens back with rights and they're slugging it out on the outside. Rollins throws Owens into the cage, they trade chops a moment and then Seth sends KO into the cage again. Back in the ring, KO reverses a whip but Rollins crosses the ring a few times and drops him with a Sling Blade.
Short-arm knee lift into a snapmare/Penalty Kick combo and the champ is reeling. Rollins reiterates that he's the man as he stomps a mudhole in Owens. Back elbow into a diving blockbuster for two and Rollins goes looking for plunder himself. He comes up with a table and sets it up on the outside as Owens comes to his senses. The table is super over, to boot. Body blows on the champ in the corner, whip gets reversed and Rollins goes back first into the turnbuckle before eating a pair of sentons to the back!
KO chokes Seth in the corner. Rollins to the apron afterwards, KO follows and throws him into the cage before ripping off the tape on Seth's back and grinding his face into the steel wire of the cage. Rollins fights back with knees and elbows but Owens whips him hard into the cage and throws him back-first into the ringpost before hitting a stiff knee to the side of his head.
Back in the ring, Owens goes for a cover that fails and fires a knee to the injured back. A right hand follows and a running kick to the face gets two. KO gets Rollins in the corner but the challenger fights back with hands and gets thrown from the ring to the Cell wall for his trouble. Owens steps on Seth's head on the outside, taunting him and dragging him to his feet by the hair before throwing him into the cage again and again.
Rollins stumbles, out on his feet, to the corner, and Owens charges in with a lariat. A second follows, setting Seth up for the cannonball, which sends him back outside, gasping for air. Cannonball on the outside! He sends Rollins back in the ring again, looking to finish it but Seth leapfrogs the pop-up powerbomb and goes for a Pedigree. KO slips out, ducks a roundhouse, looks for a schoolboy, Avada Kedavra begets a superkick, a superkick begets an enzuigiri, enzuigiri begets a lariat!
Owens gets another table out and brings it around to the other table, thinking with evil intentions. He unfolds one end of the table and places it against the Cell wall above the previous table. He goes to collect Rollins but Seth drops him with a modified Falcon Arrow on the apron! He follows it up with a pair of suicide dives and heads to the top, but Owens bails on him. KO has a fire extinguisher and checks Rollins in the ribs with it before spraying referee Chad Patton with it. Referee John Cone checks on his colleague and takes him outside to safety as Owens rolls Rollins into the ring once more.
The door is open and Chris Jericho runs through it, locking the door behind him! Rollins immediately knocks Jericho into the Cell but runs into the package Flowsion from Owens when he turns around. KO up top, Seth follows, they end up on opposite sides of the apron, springboard knee strike! Rollins drags Owens to his feet for the Pedigree but Jericho comes off the top so Seth turns and hits the Pedigree on him! Owens with a superkick, looking for a powerbomb through the tables but Seth slips out and hits an enzuigiri. Looking for the powerbomb himself now but he can barely get Owens up... POWERBOMB THROUGH THE TABLES!
With KO back in the ring, Rollins heads up top, turning Frog Splash.... JERICHO PULLS CONE OUT OF THE RING! Rollins kicks Jericho and lays hands into his head before slamming him into the steps and then into the remains of the tables. Throws Y2J into the cage wall... powerbomb into the Cell! But when Seth goes back in, Owens catches him with a superkick and the pop-up powerbomb but Rollins won't die! Jericho comes to his sense and looks for some plunder to give to his good pal Kevin while the champ passes the town with grounded punches and headbutts.
Jericho found a chair and takes a turn wailing on Seth himself. Owens brings the chair hard down across Rollins' back and sides repeatedly as Y2J gets a second chair, but Rollins wrestles the chair away from Owens, taking Jericho out! KO cuts the rally off with a DDT on the chair and sets the chairs up facing each other...
Kevin Owens wins by pinfall with a powerbomb through two chairs, retaining the WWE Universal Championship.
Kevin and Chris celebrate but Jericho can't just leave well enough alone and returns to the ring to drop Rollins with a Codebreaker right as he's getting back to his feet.
Commentary tosses to the pre-show panel to recap the show thus far.
Brian Kendrick vs. TJ Perkins (c) (WWE Cruiserweight Championship)
Circling , Kendrick grabs a waistlock, TJP reverses, Kendrick reverses to wrist control, TJP breaks, Kendrick goes for a cover to no avail. Test of strength, Kendrick trips Perkins and looks for a cover, TJP with a monkey flip, Kendrick keeps the knucklelock and throws a monkey flip of his own. Kendrick with a turning sunset flip for two. Charges in, hip toss from TJP, quick covers and exchanges, ending in a La Magistral from Perkins.
They shove each other and Perkins grabs a side headlock, Kendrick shoves him off, drop-down, duck the lariat, diving crossbody to grounded punches. TJP hangs in the ropes, Kendrick doesn't take the bait so Perkins hits a slingshot senton atomico. Kendrick kicks TJP off the apron and wrenches his arm over the middle rope, using TJ's own athletic tape to tie him to the bottom rope and lay some stomps in.
Back suplex gets one and Kendrick grinds Perkins into the mat with first an inverted facelock and then a cravate. TJP fights to his feet but Kendrick converts the cravate to a neckbreaker. Low dropkick off the ropes takes Kendrick's knee out, Perkins charges in, back drop to the apron, Perkins with a missile dropkick to the shoulder that sends Kendrick outside. TJP follows with a slingshot corkscrew crossbody and throws Kendrick back in the ring.
Straight suplex chained into the back suplex and TJP heads to the top only to jump into a dropkick for two. Kendrick throws forearms, TJ comes back with a roundhouse, Kendrick ducks a lariat and returns a big boot but TJP gets a rolling solebutt into the Detonation Kick. Kendrick kicks out and drags himself to his feet by the ropes, earning a triangle dropkick. Perkins looking for a wheelbarrow bulldog but Kendrick lands a Regalplex for two!
Chickenwing gutbuster is countered into the Captain's Hook but Perkins crawls for the ropes and breaks. Kendrick looking for a suplex but TJP blocks and grabs the kneebar. Kendrick escapes and looks for Sliced Bread #2 but Perkins throws him off hard on his knee. TJP up top, he hesitates as Kendrick plays up the injury and eventually comes down to check on him. Kendrick screams bloody murder as the referee checks on him and Perkins comes back, a third time and Kendrick shoots a headbutt and grabs Captains Hook again...
Brian Kendrick wins by submission with the Captain's Hook, becoming the new WWE Cruiserweight Champion.
Sheamus and Cesaro are backstage, all smiles. Sheamus calls Cesaro's suit squanchy and they talk about how they feel like they really have something after Monday. The conversation turns to reminiscing about how they hated each other and they inevitably end up stepping on each other's toes with old wounds reopened, insisting that they were each the man that won the match last week. Cesaro mentions Sheamus' failure to book the rental cars, he claims that Cesaro didn't pay them, and the argument continues in a similar vein.
Big E does his thing and New Day come out, tossing boxes of Booty-Os to the crowd. Kofi says they hoped that Cesaro and Sheamus would tear each other apart like two dudes fighting over the last hot dog at what I assume is the local sportsball park. They say that everybody wants to sponsor Cesaro with deals for shirts, hats, and shoes coming in, at which point they do the owl gimmick for Kofi's shoes, which I take are a signature shoe of a sportsballman.
Xavier and E call Kofi out for pandering, and Kofi says he's from here but feels like nobody knows it because of the whole Jamaican thing and he wants everybody to know that he loves this city. But what about Sheamus, Woods asks, and the crowd chants "Shame!" unprompted. They say he has sponsorship deals for toilet paper, litter boxes (cat gotta poop too, bro), dumpster fires, and trash cans. Kofi says one place you'll never see Sheamus is with their titles, and they do the hip swivel.
Cesaro & Sheamus vs. New Day (Big E & Xavier Woods) (c) (WWE Raw Tag Team Championship)
Cesaro and Xavier start, collar-and-elbow, Cesaro turns it into a waistlock pin immediately. Woods with a side headlock, Cesaro shoots him off, Woods ducks some strikes and hits a headscissors takeover to hang Cesaro on the ropes and a dropkick to follow. Sheamus freight trains him off the apron and Cesaro tags him in. Sheamus throws Woods into the barricade and back in the ring for the Beats of the Bodhran. Cesaro tags in, running uppercut for two.
Uppercut, Sheamus tags himself in and throws an uppercut of his own before Cesaro tags in. This continues a few cycles before Xavier grabs a backslide on Sheamus for two. Sheamus lays a pair of knees in before going to a reverse chinlock. Woods fights to his feet but runs into the Irish Curse. Tag to Cesaro, elbow drop for two, whip to the corner, the Uppercut Train gets a-rollin' but Woods cuts it off early and hits a loose diving enzuigiri on Cesaro for separation.
Tags all around, Big E throws Sheamus around with a trio of belly-to-belly suplexes before the hip swivel and the big splash. E claps the rhythm, Cesaro runs in and Woods takes him out with a tope con giro. Big E counters a Brogue Kick with a powerbomb for two! E willing Sheamus to his feet now, looking for the Big Ending but Sheamus slips out and drops him with a slam for two. Woods tags in, diving crossbody, Sheamus comes back at him with White Noise but neither are good to end the match.
The crowd chants "Shame!" and Sheamus gets hot. Cesaro tags in, Sheamus with a Finlay Roll, Cesaro follows with a double stomp for a nearfall. Cesaro looks for the swing but Woods gets the ropes and drops the challengers with kicks. Woods back up top... ROPEWALK ELBOW DROP! Not enough! Cesaro whips him away from the tag and drops E off the apron with a boot before going wild on Xavier with uppercuts in the corner. Woods goes for a swing! Into the Sharpshooter but E breaks it up and throws Cesaro into the corner with a belly-to-belly.
They look for Midnight Hour but Sheamus breaks it up. E ducks a Brogue Kick and Sheamus wipes Cesaro out! E takes Sheamus to the outside as Woods crawls over but Sheamus gets in in time to break the cover up! Sheamus dumps New Day to the outside and goes up top, the vein in his forehead bulging as he dives onto the New Day! Woods breaks the count at eight and Sheamus sends Cesaro back in at nine!
Cesaro catches a Penalty Kick and rolls Woods through into the Sharpshooter! Drags him to the center of the ring, Sheamus has E on the outside and clobbers him with Francesca II. Kofi drops Sheamus with Trouble in Paradise. Xavier taps to the Sharpshooter but it's too late, referee Shawn Bennett threw the match out.
Cesaro and Sheamus win by disqualification.
A video package for Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg follows.
Charlotte Flair vs. Sasha Banks (c) (WWE Raw Women's Championship Hell in a Cell Match)
Charlotte blindsides Sasha before the bell rings and throws her outside the ring before the cage is even lowered. She slams Sasha into the announce table but gets reversed on an attempt to chuck her into the barricade and they end up in the crowd. It's a regular pier six brawl and Sasha sends Charlotte back to ringside again. The Cell is down and she dismantles an announce table. Charlotte starts climbing the Cell! Sasha follows, they get about halfway up and Sasha slams Charlotte's face into the wall and knocks her to the floor. Charlotte gets up... POWERBOMB THROUGH THE ANNOUNCE TABLE!
Referee Rod Zapata backs Charlotte off and checks on Sasha but she shoves him away as she finds her legs. Charlotte taunts her as the crowd cheers her on. Sasha makes her way around the cell, inexorably towards the door despite Zapata's protestations. She collapses to the mat and Rod calls for EMTs, who make their way down the ramp with the stretcher. Charlotte bellows for "her" title in the ring as EMTs secure the neck brace.
The match is nearly announced as a forfeit victory for Charlotte and Sasha fights to her feet and runs in the ring, the match is on!
Charlotte charges in, Sasha picks her leg and immediately sends her into the cage wall! Charlotte rolls in the ring for safety but Sasha gets on her and pounds her with grounded strikes. Flair tries to bail and Banks is on her with chops but Charlotte manages to yank Banks into the ringpost and get some separation. Monkey flip sends Sasha back-first into the cage wall. Charlotte gets two in the ring and fires a series of knee strikes into Sasha's back. Just wrenching her back over the ropes now, before an exploder suplex into the corner for another two-count.
Flair drags her by her hair a moment and looks for a slam but Sasha slips out and lands the Bank Statement. Charlotte rolls through and dumps Sasha outside like a sack of potatoes, her back taking a trip to the apron on its way outside. Right back in the ring to capitalize, but first Charlotte goes looking for plunder and comes out with a chair. Banks cuts her off with a baseball slide on her way back in, and a second, and a suicide dive for the trifecta!
Back in the ring, Sasha wields the chair, setting it up in the middle of the ring, but Charlotte kicks her in the gut. Sasha blocks and tries to send Charlotte through but is blocked in return. Big knife-edge chops in the corner from Flair and she stands tall over Sasha, taunting. Banks picks the leg and trips her face-first into the turnbuckle before throwing vicious hands. Drop toe-hold into the chair! Slamming Charlotte's face into the chair over and over! But Flair comes back with a side slam into the chair!
Sasha won't die, but she's not getting up just yet, either, and Charlotte takes her to the corner for a ringpost-assisted bow-and-arrow, wrenching unholy. Banks kicks her into the cage and regains her wits, charges in, Charlotte Gallon Throws her into the cage but Sasha grabs hold and turns it around into a Meteora! Catches a big boot and fires a big kick of her own before sending Charlotte into the cage wall twice in a row, following the second with double knees, sandwiching her hard. A second double knee strike lands as well.
Back in the ring, more knees in the corner and a straight suplex, no, the Three Amigos! Sasha up top... Frog Splash! NOT ENOUGH! Bank Statement crossface locked on, Charlotte crawls to the apron to break the hold. Sasha cuts her off on re-entry with knee strikes, setting up the corner double knee drop, but she adds a chair to the mix this time! Still no good! Charlotte drives Sasha's head into the steps with her feet still on the ropes!
Flair looking for plunder again, she gets a table this time, setting it up between ring and cage. Up to the second, looking for a superplex but Banks blocks and kicks Charlotte off the apron and through the table. Sasha climbs down after her and struggles to get her back in the ring for a pin but it's not worth a fall.
