This is a surprise.
According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, WWE has released Sara Lee from her contract, which she was informed of on Friday, but the reason why is currently unknown. The company has not officially announced as much at this time.
Lee was one of the winners of the sixth season of Tough Enough, earning a $250,000 contract for winning a fan vote in the finale. She beat out Amanda Saccomanno, who has since become Mandy Rose, given a spot on Total Divas, and recently debuted on NXT television.
The fans, at least as far as WWE is concerned, chose wrong.
Lee worked her first house show back in March but never found her footing and is now gone from the promotion. We’ll update with more if and when that information becomes available.
