WWE’s latest Top Ten video proves there’s recent precedent for AJ Styles’ World title win at No Mercy

Though the No Mercy “main event” isn’t featured in WWE’s “Top Ten Controversial Finishes” video, it’s obviously an inspiration.

And while they’re wise to not include the NXT match from early this year where Sami Zayn & Samoa Joe submitted Baron Corbin, removing him from the #1 contender picture, that was on a different brand anyway. Blame William Regal.

The main roster precedent is represented by John Cena and none other than CM Punk simultaneously getting Big Show to tap. Their SummerSlam 2012 Triple Threat was re-started just like the one on this past Sunday’s pay-per-view (PPV).

Plus, nine other instances of pro wrestling wackiness!
