AJ Styles calls Randy Orton a dream opponent

WWE.com

When asked by ESPN about a dream opponent he wants to face, current WWE World Champion AJ Styles had this to say:

“I always say when it comes to dream matches that is not up to me, that's up to the WWE Universe. That's up to the fans. But there is a guy on SmackDown that I have yet to wrestle yet that's certainly gonna happen at some point, and that's Randy Orton.”

On the surface, that feels like a very corporate response. Then again he’s not the first to name Orton as a dream opponent — Karl Anderson did the same earlier this year — and The Viper has publicly stated his own desire to work with Styles at some point.

When looking at the SmackDown Live roster, it doesn’t seem out of the question to think Styles vs. Orton could be a championship match at WrestleMania.

Would you be as excited about it as they would?
