News broke just yesterday that Hideo Itami suffered an injury at an NXT house show and it was much worse than originally anticipated. The word is he could be out for a number of months, or at the very least not wrestling.
Today, Itami himself confirmed he’s injured and will, at the very least, have to pull out of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. He did, however, promise to be there when NXT heads for Japan in December:

"Hello. I have some bad news. Unfortunately, I got injured so I will not be able to be in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic with Kota Ibushi. I'm not sure about TakeOver. But I promise, I promise you, I will be in NXT Osaka, Japan in December."
Itami’s snakebit run in NXT continues. Here’s to hoping there are no setbacks during his recovery from this injury.
