Update: Additional details on his condition can be found here.

WWE.com is reporting that 15 time World champion John Cena's shoulder surgery yesterday in Birmingham, Alabama was a complete success.

Other than a photo gallery of the operation that starts fun and then goes black-and-white like it's a Brock Lesnar match, details are sparse. There still has been no official announcement about the recovery period, although six months is common for shoulder surgery, and no one from WWE or Cena's camps has indicated anything different.

The man himself has also been fairly quiet, although he did Tweet out thanks to his frequent Today show collaborators for their well-wishes this morning:

We join the NBC morning show crew in wishing  the Face Who Runs the Place a speedy recovery, and we'll keep you posted on any other news about his recovery and eventual return to the ring.
