We learned just yesterday that John Cena is injured and likely out of WrestleMania 32 after undergoing surgery today on his shoulder. The timing couldn't be better, then, for Brock Lesnar to make his return to WWE on Monday Night Raw next week in New Orleans.
Paul Heyman, in an interview with Fox Sports, promotes it with the following:
"By the mere fact that Brock Lesnar will physically appear live in the ring at 'Monday Night RAW', you are guaranteed something to talk about the next day at work. I have no problem showing up any given Monday and demonstrating to the WWE Universe how a proper promo is performed but when Brock Lesnar comes along with me, you know something substantive is going to be said and perhaps something impactful is going to happen."
Where Lesnar fits into the plans for WrestleMania is anyone's guess. First, WWE has to figure out how he fits into the plans at Royal Rumble and, as recently revealed, Fastlane. Roman Reigns will be defending the WWE world heavyweight championship in the Royal Rumble match and with Brock coming back just two weeks away from the show, we're going to find out if he's in, or the reason he's not.
Stay tuned.
